If you want a Christopher Ward dive watch you can compare today, look instead at the current C60 Trident family: the C60 Trident Lumière and C60 Trident Pro 300 offer different approaches to fit, materials and movement. Neither is established as the best choice for everyone.
What is the Christopher Ward Desk Diver?
The C65 Desk Diver is a collaboration between Christopher Ward and seconde/seconde/, the design persona of Romaric André. Its office-life humor gives it a distinct identity from the brand’s more conventional C60 Trident dive watches. T3 dates its creation to 2024, while WatchTime describes it as a 500-piece limited edition that sold out within days. That is a retrospective sellout report, not confirmation of current inventory.
WatchTime also covers the later C60 Pool Diver, a separate collaboration with a holiday-oriented concept. Its details should not be mistaken for the Desk Diver’s specifications.
Is the Desk Diver available now?
The sources describe the Desk Diver as sold out, but do not provide a current stock check or establish whether pre-owned examples are available. Treat it as a past limited edition rather than a watch you can assume is available new. Check Christopher Ward’s current listings for live availability; do not assume another Trident model is the same watch.

Which current Christopher Ward dive watches are worth comparing?
The most relevant alternatives in the available coverage are the C60 Trident Lumière and C60 Trident Pro 300. Stuff’s 2026 dive-watch guide names the Lumière its “Best British dive watch”—one publication’s editorial selection, not a universal verdict. Christopher Ward’s Pro 300 handbook documents a range of sizes and specifications. How to choose between the Lumière and Pro 300
Start with wrist fit
The Pro 300 offers 38, 40 and 42 mm diameter options, while the Lumière is listed at 41 mm. Diameter alone cannot establish which watch will fit better: the cited sources do not provide comparable lug-to-lug measurements or hands-on fit tests across wrist sizes. Try the exact configuration if possible, and consider thickness and how the case sits as well as diameter.
Weigh material and wearing feel
The Lumière uses Grade 2 titanium; the Pro 300 uses stainless steel. The handbook’s Pro 300 case weights are useful for comparing its sizes, but they do not include an established full bracelet weight. Don’t infer total on-wrist weight by comparing those figures with the Lumière’s reported 105 g without matching the configurations.

Consider movement and reserve
Stuff lists a COSC-certified Sellita SW300-1 and 56-hour reserve for the Lumière. Christopher Ward’s Pro 300 handbook lists a Sellita SW200-1 and 38-hour reserve. These specifications distinguish the documented versions; verify the movement in the exact current listing, because product generations and configurations can change.
Match the dial and watch to the use
The Lumière’s highly luminous 3D dial makes legibility a central part of its design. The Pro 300 is the more conventional Trident option in the cited handbook. Both are rated to 300 m, and the Pro 300 handbook also documents a screw-down crown and unidirectional ceramic bezel. A water-resistance rating is not a substitute for dive training, appropriate equipment, or checking that a watch is in sound condition before use.

Does “best dive watch for most people” hold up?
It works as a debatable headline, not a conclusion established by the evidence. Stuff’s 2026 guide favors the Lumière in its British-dive-watch category, and Christopher Ward documents practical Pro 300 size choices. But the sources do not test the Desk Diver or Trident models across a representative range of wrists, budgets, diving needs, style preferences, or service expectations. The strongest supported advice is to choose by fit, intended use, design and the exact current configuration—not by treating any one model as a universal best.
Christopher Ward’s own collection handbook says the Trident line began in 2009 and recounts changes to the Mk 2 Pro 600 in 2015. That gives the current family brand-history context, but it does not independently establish which watch is best for a buyer.
