What the NB6046-59E offers
Citizen equips this Promaster Air with its 9054 automatic movement and a GMT function, alongside conventional hours, minutes, seconds, and a date at 3 o’clock. The manufacturer lists a 50-hour power reserve. Its black dial is paired with a silver-tone stainless-steel case and bracelet, an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and a fixed 24-hour bezel.
Citizen specifies a 44.5 mm case and 22 mm lug width. Those figures establish the watch’s scale on paper, but not how it will sit on a particular wrist; wrist shape, bracelet fit, and personal preference all matter.
How the aviation-style features work
GMT hand and 24-hour bezel
A red-accented GMT hand and fixed 24-hour bezel provide the watch’s second-time-zone display. The watch also has luminous hands and markers. Citizen lists these features, but does not provide independent assessments of legibility in different conditions.

Slide-rule scale
The dial includes an aeronautical slide-rule scale operated with the crown at 7 o’clock. It is a distinctive additional tool, but the product information does not establish how easy or accurate it is to use in practice. Buyers should treat it as a feature to learn rather than assume it will be intuitive.
Movement performance: Citizen’s stated figures
Citizen rates the 9054 movement’s accuracy at -10/+20 seconds per day and its magnetic resistance at up to 16,000 A/m. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent timing or magnetic-resistance test results. Actual timekeeping can vary, and no hands-on measurement or long-term performance assessment is established here.

The stated 50-hour power reserve is useful context for an automatic watch that may be taken off between wears. It is likewise Citizen’s published figure, not a separately verified result.
Water resistance and construction
Citizen lists WR200/20 bar water resistance and describes the model as suitable for swimming, marine sports, and snorkeling. That manufacturer guidance is not a claim that the watch is a certified dive instrument. The crystal is specified as anti-reflective sapphire.

The black NB6046-59E is one of several distinct finishes in the family. The other official US models in the supplied comparison are the gray NB6045-51H and the navy-dial NB6044-54L Blue Angels Edition.

Who should consider the black Promaster Air GMT?
The NB6046-59E is most compelling on its published feature set: an automatic GMT, 24-hour bezel, slide-rule scale, sapphire crystal, and a substantial stated water-resistance rating in a 44.5 mm case. Its specifications will appeal to someone who wants those functions and likes an aviation-instrument look.
