How the Decompression 02 displays decompression information
Bühlmann Watches says the turning dial contains a 0–700 m ASL decompression table and the decompression times for 17 “golden zone” recreational profiles. This is a fixed, printed reference on the watch, rather than a description of the watch calculating a personalized decompression plan. The brand’s published product information does not establish independent validation of how those profiles implement a decompression model.
The maker describes the procedure as reading the first decompression stop and its corresponding time from the dial, ascending to that stop, and aligning the bezel’s zero marker with the minute hand to time it. The wearer repeats the process for subsequent stops. In this arrangement, the dial supplies profile-specific reference information and the bezel is used to track elapsed time; the operating description does not establish electronic monitoring or adaptive planning.
What the twin bezel is intended to track
The two-part safety bezel is designed to keep total dive time (TDT) and decompression-stop time (DS) separate, with distinct blocking directions for the two timing functions, according to Bühlmann Watches. That is a more specialized timing concept than a conventional elapsed-time bezel, which typically provides a single rotating marker for timing an interval. The manufacturer’s description is not an independent usability test.

Mechanical dive watch, not a dive-computer substitute
The Decompression 02 is an analog mechanical instrument with a printed set of recreational profiles. It does not, on the evidence available in the maker’s description, independently calculate a complete decompression plan or provide the electronic planning and monitoring associated with a dive computer. Its role should therefore be understood as the maker’s stated backup-instrument concept, not a reason to omit appropriate equipment, planning, or training.
Case, movement and stated specifications
Bühlmann Watches’ 2026 product information describes a 48.50 mm stainless-steel case, ceramic bezel, automatic Sellita SW300 movement, sapphire crystal, helium valve and 575 m stated water resistance. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently verified test results. The 575 m rating is a product specification; it should not be read as advice to dive to that depth.

The product page also describes an angled case, flexible strap joint, removable strap extension intended to fit over a wetsuit, concave case back and luminous dial material. Those details suggest the design prioritizes underwater use and over-wetsuit fit, but no independent wear or legibility assessment is established.
Fly-no-fly indicator: what the maker says
The dial includes a fly-no-fly indicator. Bühlmann Watches says its indicator changes from red to green after a 36–48-hour wait. That is the manufacturer’s description of the indicator, not an independently validated universal rule for flying after diving. Follow current dive-training guidance, applicable rules and authoritative medical advice rather than treating the watch’s color change as general clearance to fly.

DAN Europe’s role
DAN Europe describes its involvement as support for the watch as a tribute and awareness initiative, with a portion of each sale going to its Medical Research Fund. It also states that it was not involved in the watch’s technical development. Price, preorder and warranty
Bühlmann Watches lists a CHF 3,990 retail price, including shipping, VAT and duties according to the maker. Its earlier CHF 3,790 presale price was stated to apply through 31 March 2026 and has elapsed. The maker also lists a 25% deposit option of CHF 998, with the balance invoiced before dispatch rather than automatically charged to the card. Who the Decompression 02 may suit
Its appeal is clearest for a collector or diver interested in mechanical interpretations of decompression science and in having a dedicated analog backup reference. The substantial 48.50 mm case and high stated water-resistance figure are part of the maker’s specification; actual fit, legibility and practical usefulness should be assessed in person where possible. Readers looking for an independently tested instrument or a configurable electronic dive-planning system should not infer those capabilities from the printed tables or bezel design.
