The headline prices in the August 11, 2025 roundup are historical, not confirmed live offers for August 2026. The strongest value was the unlocked 256GB Galaxy S24 Ultra at $799.99, while the 1TB Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra at $1,099.99 was compelling only if you wanted its enormous screen and could live without the keyboard cover. The Pixel Watch 2/3 charging cable at $23.50 made sense mainly as a spare.
Check retailer checkout pages before buying: storage, seller, condition, trade-in selections, tax, stock and successor-model pricing can change the effective deal.

Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra: a good discount with expensive caveats
What the $1,099.99 offer included
Samsung’s reported deal covered the Wi‑Fi Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage in Moonstone Gray. The stated list price was $1,619.99, making the advertised reduction $520. Samsung’s checkout flow reportedly required selecting the 1TB configuration and choosing “No, Get $220 Samsung Instant Savings” in the trade-in section. That is an instant-savings selection, not a conventional device trade-in credit; confirm the wording and final total if a similar promotion returns.

What was missing
The $1,099.99 price did not include Samsung’s Book Cover Keyboard Slim. An earlier $1,270 promotion reportedly bundled that cover, so the cheaper tablet is not automatically the lower-cost laptop-style setup. Add the keyboard, case, charger and microSD card if you need them before comparing totals.
Who benefits from the hardware
Samsung specifies a 14.6-inch 2,960 × 1,848 display, MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, up to 1TB storage, microSD expansion up to 1.5TB, an 11,200mAh battery, IP68 protection and Wi‑Fi 7 on the Wi‑Fi model. Those specifications suit DeX multitasking, drawing and split-screen work. The same 14.6-inch size is awkward for prolonged handheld reading, travel or casual couch use. How the successor changes the decision
Samsung’s September 2025 MSRP file marks Tab S10 Ultra configurations end-of-life and lists the newer Tab S11 Ultra. That makes $1,099.99 useful historical context, but in 2026 compare any remaining S10 stock with the S11 Ultra’s current price, warranty and software-support horizon rather than anchoring on the old $1,619.99 MSRP. The MSRP file is available from Samsung.
Verdict: Buy an S10 Ultra only when the 1TB capacity and giant display are priorities and the complete package remains meaningfully cheaper than an S11 Ultra. For most readers, a smaller tablet costs less and travels better.

Galaxy S24 Ultra: the strongest phone value in the roundup
What was on offer
Amazon listed a brand-new, unlocked 256GB Galaxy S24 Ultra at $799.99, compared with the source article’s $1,299.99 launch price. At the time, the newer S25 Ultra was described as starting around $1,100 during the promotion, putting the S24 roughly $300 lower.
Checks before ordering
- Confirm the listing still says new, not renewed or refurbished.
- Check the actual seller and whether Amazon or the seller fulfills the order.
- Verify a U.S. model number, supported bands, Samsung warranty eligibility and the return window.
- Confirm 256GB storage; other capacities can have different pricing.
- Compare the final unlocked price with current-generation carrier trade-in credits, Samsung offers, refurbished S24 Ultra units and the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Remember the charging cost
The S24 Ultra supports 45W wired charging and can reach up to 65% in about 30 minutes with a 45W adapter and 5A USB‑C cable. Samsung does not include the power adapter, so include those accessories in your effective cost. Details are in Samsung’s S24 series announcement.

Verdict: At $799.99, the S24 Ultra was the clearest bargain for buyers who wanted premium cameras, long battery life, a built-in S Pen and an unlocked phone without paying current-Ultra pricing. In 2026, it wins only if the newer phone’s trade-in or warranty advantages do not erase the gap.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Pixel Watch charging cable: useful spare, not a universal charger
The $23.50 item was Google’s magnetic Fast Charging Cable for Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3, not a generic Qi charging puck. Use it as an office, travel or bedside spare when the listing explicitly names your watch generation. Do not infer compatibility with every Pixel Watch model, and check cable length and whether a wall adapter is included.

Pixel Watch owners who already have the supplied charger may gain little from one spare. Owners of another generation should buy only a cable that Google lists for that exact model. The reported price came from the August 2025 roundup and was described there as an all-time low based on deal tracking, not as an independently audited market record.
Other offers from the same roundup
- OnePlus 13: $150 off plus free Buds 3, described as $250 in combined savings.
- Pixel Watch 3: roughly $80 off, with prices beginning around $269.99 depending on size, LTE status and color; some colors were unavailable.
- Galaxy Book4 Edge: 15.6-inch Snapdragon X Plus model with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD at $479.99 from Best Buy, versus a stated $899.99 price.
- Accessories: The roundup also listed Anker charging stations, USB‑C chargers, power banks, portable SSDs, Belkin car chargers, 8BitDo controllers, Galaxy Watch 8 discounts and related promotions.
These were separate, time-sensitive offers. Their appearance in one article does not establish that they remain available now.
How to evaluate an older flagship deal
- Match the exact configuration. Confirm storage, RAM, screen size and Wi‑Fi versus LTE before comparing prices.
- Calculate the complete setup. Add a keyboard, case, charger, cable, microSD card or other required accessories.
- Read the discount mechanism. Distinguish an unconditional price cut from instant savings, trade-in credit, membership pricing or a coupon.
- Check the retailer. Samsung-direct, Best Buy-direct, Amazon-fulfilled marketplace and open-box listings carry different warranty and return risks.
- Compare the successor. Use current Tab S11 Ultra, Galaxy S26 Ultra, Pixel Watch and carrier-promotion pricing, not an old launch MSRP alone.
- Review checkout totals. Sales tax, shipping, membership eligibility and location can change the amount charged.
Which deal made sense for which buyer?
| Buyer | Most sensible choice | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum Android tablet workspace | Tab S10 Ultra, only at a substantial gap to S11 Ultra | 14.6-inch display, DeX, S Pen support and microSD expansion. |
| Premium phone at the lowest historical price | Unlocked Galaxy S24 Ultra | High-end cameras, S Pen and battery life for $799.99 in the reported offer. |
| Pixel Watch 2/3 owner needing a spare | Official magnetic Fast Charging Cable | Small, useful accessory when generation compatibility is confirmed. |
| Buyer wanting the newest support horizon | Current-generation Galaxy or Pixel model | A smaller nominal discount on a newer device can be better long term. |
The Bottom Line
The August 11, 2025 roundup was valuable as a price benchmark, not proof of live August 2026 inventory. The $799.99 Galaxy S24 Ultra was the best broad value; the $1,099.99 1TB Tab S10 Ultra suited a narrow large-screen audience and excluded the keyboard; and the $23.50 Pixel Watch cable was worthwhile mainly as a Watch 2/3 spare. Recheck the retailer, configuration, warranty and successor pricing before paying.
