Galaxy Ring price and release date
The Galaxy Ring started at $399.99 in the U.S. Samsung accepted preorders on July 10, 2024, followed by general availability on July 24. Because the price was stated as “starting at,” sizing and market configuration can affect which version is available.
What you get
- Nine U.S. sizing options at launch.
- Titanium Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Gold finishes.
- Accelerometer, PPG and skin-temperature sensors.
- 10ATM and IP68 durability ratings.
- Samsung-rated battery life of up to seven days, varying by ring size, settings and use.
Samsung described the Ring as a discreet health wearable rather than a miniature smartwatch. It has no display, apps or on-wrist workout controls, so it suits passive health and sleep tracking better than live exercise management. Detailed launch specifications appear in Samsung’s wearable announcement.

Galaxy Watch Ultra price and release date
The Galaxy Watch Ultra launched in the U.S. at $649.99. Preorders opened July 10, 2024, and retail availability began July 24. Samsung treated it as a separate premium model alongside the Galaxy Watch7; its official name is Galaxy Watch Ultra, not “Galaxy Watch7 Ultra.”

- Titanium Gray, Titanium White and Titanium Silver color options.
- Wear OS powered by Samsung.
- Large display, GPS, notifications, apps and on-wrist workout controls.
- Rugged positioning for outdoor and endurance use.

Audio features and limits
- Canal-style in-ear design in Silver or White.
- Two-way speaker system with planar tweeter and dual amplifiers.
- Active noise cancellation, adaptive sound and voice detection.
- 24-bit Hi-Fi support under specified Galaxy-device, software and application conditions.
These are audio accessories, not health wearables. The sealed in-ear fit can improve isolation but may not suit people who dislike ear-canal pressure. Samsung’s Buds3 launch release lists the hardware and compatibility qualifications; high-resolution audio and selected AI functions are not universal across every phone.
Can the Galaxy Ring and Watch Ultra be used together?
Yes. Samsung positioned the Ring and Galaxy Watch as complementary devices within its health ecosystem. The Ring can provide discreet, passive tracking while the Watch supplies a screen, workout controls and broader smartwatch functions. They are alternatives for some users, but neither is presented as required for the other to operate. Samsung discusses this integrated approach in its wearable health overview.

Which Samsung wearable fits your needs?
| If your priority is… | Best match | Main compromise |
|---|---|---|
| Low-profile sleep and health tracking | Galaxy Ring | No screen, GPS or smartwatch interface; sizing is required |
| One device for workouts, alerts and apps | Galaxy Watch Ultra | Highest price and a large case; LTE may add recurring cost |
| Music, calls and ANC | Galaxy Buds3 Pro | In-ear fit is personal and premium features depend on compatible Galaxy hardware |
| A broad Samsung wearable setup | Ring plus Watch Ultra, with Buds3 Pro for audio | Combined launch MSRP was $1,299.97 before tax |
The Ring is a poor substitute for a watch if you need live workout controls. The Watch Ultra is excessive for basic step or sleep tracking. The Buds3 Pro should be chosen for audio needs rather than as a health-tracking purchase.
Launch promotions versus prices today
Samsung’s 2024 preorder campaign included limited-time second-device discounts on selected combinations and a protective clip case for qualifying Buds3 or Buds3 Pro orders placed on Samsung.com by July 23. Those incentives ended with the launch period and should not be treated as permanent pricing.
For a 2026 purchase, check Samsung’s official store and authorized retailers on the day you buy. Trade-in credits, bundles, refurbished stock and temporary sales can all differ from the launch MSRPs shown here. Regional prices and release dates also varied outside the United States.
