The Apple Watch price omits generation, size, connectivity and condition; the 3D printer omits its model entirely; the $829 MacBook Air is an older M2 configuration; and the $300 GoPro price does not say whether it includes a bundle. Quick verdict
| Headline | What must be confirmed | Assessment |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Watch SE for $189 | SE 2 or SE 3, 40mm or 44mm, GPS or GPS + Cellular, new or refurbished, seller and warranty | Not verifiable; potentially good for basic Apple Watch use if new and GPS-only |
| 3D printer for $299 | Exact model, FDM or resin, enclosure, build volume, multicolor hardware, included accessories and seller | Not verifiable; the model determines whether the price is sensible |
| M2 MacBook Air for $829 | 13-inch or 15-inch, 8GB or 16GB memory, 256GB or 512GB SSD, condition and warranty | Buy only for a specific configuration; likely older clearance stock |
| GoPro HERO12 Black for $300 | Camera-only or bundle, battery and mounts, subscription terms, condition and warranty | Skip unless the bundle and price gap beat newer cameras |
Do not rely on a search snippet or an “from” price. A low figure may apply to a different color, capacity, case size, marketplace seller, coupon or refurbished unit.
Apple Watch SE at $189
Apple’s current U.S. shopping page identifies the Apple Watch SE 3, so “Apple Watch SE” is not a complete product description: Apple’s Apple Watch SE store page. The $189 offer must state the generation, case size, GPS or GPS + Cellular, condition, color and band.

What to verify
- Whether it is SE 2 or SE 3 and a 40mm or 44mm case.
- Whether the price is for a new unit with the normal Sport Band and charging cable.
- Whether cellular hardware is included and whether a carrier plan is required.
- Compatible iPhone and iOS/watchOS requirements for that generation.
- Seller, return period and manufacturer-backed warranty.
Apple says the SE is water resistant to 50 meters; that is not scuba-diving certification. Basic strengths include notifications, workouts, Apple Pay, sleep tracking, fall detection and crash detection, depending on model and software support. Higher-end Apple Watches add features such as an always-on display, advanced health sensors and more premium materials.
Who should buy
Choose the SE when you want core smartwatch and fitness functions at the lowest Apple price and do not need advanced health hardware or cellular independence. A $189 new watch can be attractive if it is a recent generation with a full warranty.
Who should skip
Skip an older or refurbished unit at $189 if a newer SE is close in price, or if you need an always-on display, premium case materials, advanced sensors or the longest support runway.

The unnamed $299 3D printer
This is the least publishable headline because the machine is missing. Current coverage describes very different candidates near $299: the Anycubic Kobra X Multicolor was reported at about $299.98, while the Elegoo Centauri Carbon was described at $299. These are not interchangeable deals.
Recommended Free Tools
Possible candidates
| Model | Reported details | Source-backed caveat |
|---|---|---|
| Anycubic Kobra X Multicolor | About $299.98; four-color printing, CoreXY-style design, 260 × 260 × 260mm build volume, automatic bed leveling, AI monitoring, Wi-Fi and LAN were reported. | Confirm the exact package, color module, coupon and shipping at TechRadar’s deal report. |
| Elegoo Centauri Carbon | $299 review price for an enclosed CoreXY printer with a pre-assembled design. | Confirm live stock, regional support and included parts at the Centauri Carbon review. |
| Bambu Lab A1 Mini | Past coverage reported a base price below $300, including a prior $219 sale; multicolor combo pricing differs. | That past price is not proof of a current offer. Check the deal coverage and current listing. |
FDM or resin?
FDM printers melt filament and are usually the practical choice for household parts, prototypes, cosplay pieces and larger objects. Resin printers can produce finer miniature detail but require ventilation, gloves, washing and UV curing. A low resin-printer price is not a safe apartment or child-friendly setup by itself.
Costs beyond the printer
- FDM: filament, spare nozzles, build plates, tools and possible enclosure or ventilation.
- Resin: resin, gloves, wash fluid, curing equipment, filters and safe waste handling.
- Multicolor systems: extra material use, longer prints and potentially more maintenance.
Check build volume, enclosure, automatic leveling, software, replacement-part availability and noise. Maximum speed figures are not representative everyday print speeds. An open-frame machine is a poor choice around children or pets unless the workspace is controlled.

Best use-case match
- Beginners: favor a well-supported, pre-assembled enclosed or tightly integrated system over headline speed.
- Miniatures: consider resin only if you can provide proper ventilation and post-processing.
- Engineering and household parts: prioritize build volume, dimensional consistency and reliable filament support.
- Children or apartments: favor enclosure, noise control and a supervised, ventilated workspace.

M2 MacBook Air at $829
Apple introduced the redesigned M2 MacBook Air in 2022, so an $829 offer is older-generation inventory rather than automatically a current-model bargain: Apple’s announcement. Apple’s published base test configuration is an M2 chip with an 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 8GB unified memory and 256GB SSD: technical specifications.
Check the configuration
- 13-inch or 15-inch screen.
- 8GB or 16GB unified memory.
- 256GB or 512GB SSD.
- New, refurbished or open-box condition, battery health and warranty.
- Standard or upgraded charger and the exact seller’s return policy.
The base 8GB/256GB model is adequate for web, office and student work, but memory and storage can become constraints in development environments, large photo libraries and video editing. The Air’s port selection is limited, so display, storage and accessory workflows may require a USB-C hub. Verify the external-display support for the exact M2 configuration before buying.

When $829 works
Buy only if the machine is new or properly warranted, has enough memory and storage for your workload, and is meaningfully cheaper than a newer MacBook Air with comparable specifications. For demanding creative or development work, paying more for newer silicon or 16GB memory can be better value than clearing old stock.
When to skip
Skip an 8GB/256GB unit for sustained professional video, substantial local datasets, heavy multitasking or the longest practical support life. Refurbished listings deserve special scrutiny of battery health, activation status and warranty coverage.
Apple’s current Mac buying page is Apple MacBook Air; compare the live configuration rather than the original M2 launch price.

GoPro HERO12 Black at $300
A $300 HERO12 Black price is impossible to judge without knowing whether it is camera-only, refurbished, open-box or a bundle. Inventory may also be clearing because the HERO12 is an older generation.
Bundle checklist
- Battery, protective case, mounts and an extra battery.
- microSD card requirement, capacity and speed rating.
- Whether a GoPro subscription is included, its recurring billing and cancellation terms.
- Seller, return window and manufacturer warranty.
The HERO12 is aimed at action and travel users who need high-resolution recording, stabilization, HDR, vertical video, waterproofing or high-frame-rate slow motion. High-resolution and high-frame-rate modes create heat and large files; battery life varies with resolution, stabilization, frame rate, temperature and wireless use. A fast, compatible microSD card is essential.
Value test
Compare the complete package with the current GoPro generation and similarly priced action cameras. A camera-only HERO12 at $300 may be worse value than a newer camera or a bundle that includes batteries, mounts and a case for a small premium. Casual vacation shooters may not need its performance; action-sports users may still value it if the warranty and accessory package are strong.
Use GoPro’s camera store, accessories page and subscription terms to itemize the offer.

Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →How to validate any of these prices
- Open the exact retailer listing, not a search result or generic category page.
- Record model number, size, memory, storage, connectivity and condition.
- Apply any coupon or membership requirement and check the final cart price, tax and shipping.
- Confirm seller identity, return period and whether the warranty is manufacturer-backed.
- Compare the total with a current-generation product of similar configuration.
- Check that accessories, subscriptions and consumables are included only if you actually need them.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: These four numbers are not confirmed bargains on their own. The Apple Watch can be worthwhile for basic use, the MacBook only with adequate memory and storage, and the GoPro only with a competitive bundle. The $299 printer should be ignored until its exact model is identified; enclosure, software, safety and ongoing consumables matter more than the headline price.
