The 2024 Habring² Josef pairs a traditional regulator display with dead-beat seconds: the hour hand sits at 6, minutes are shown centrally, and the seconds hand at 12 jumps once per second. A power-reserve display sits at 3. Inside is the hand-wound A11GSP movement, rated by Habring² for 48 hours of running time.
How the Josef displays the time
A regulator separates the hours, minutes and seconds into distinct displays rather than placing all three hands on one central axis. On the Josef, the central hand shows minutes, a small register at 6 shows hours, and the seconds hand is at 12. The additional indicator at 3 shows remaining power reserve. What dead-beat seconds means
Instead of sweeping continuously, the seconds hand advances in distinct one-second steps. Habring² says a regulator’s seconds pendulum triggers the wheel train each second, producing the jumping display. That explanation describes the mechanism in the Josef; regulator watches need not all use identical construction.
The A11GSP movement
Habring² specifies a hand-wound A11GSP movement measuring 30.0 mm across and 6.25 mm high. It runs at 28,800 alternations per hour, or 4 Hz, and has a stated 48-hour power reserve. The movement has 21 jewels, tangential screw fine adjustment, an anti-magnetic escapement with a Carl Haas hairspring, and KIF shock protection pursuant to DIN and NIHS. According to Habring², the A11GSP is the first manufacture movement in its collection with a power-reserve display. The company says development of the A11 family followed ETA’s widely publicized 2011 withdrawal and was intended to safeguard production through a movement developed under Habring Uhrentechnik’s direction. Case, dial and dimensions
Habring² lists a two-part, cushion-shaped stainless-steel case measuring 38.5 mm in diameter, 47 mm lug-to-lug and 8.4 mm high. It has a highly domed box sapphire crystal, double-sealed crown and sapphire caseback, with water resistance equivalent to 30 metres. What the name and launch tell you

Accuracy and maintenance guidance
Habring² says a watch adapted to its wearer should advance by between 0 and 5 seconds maximum per day under ideal conditions. The company notes that external influences can affect performance; this is manufacturer guidance, not an independent test result or a guarantee for every wearer. Habring² FAQ

- General inspection: The company says this is usually due every five years. Seals may require replacement more frequently.
