The Rolex GMT-Master II reference 126715CHNR combines a 40 mm 18 kt Everose-gold Oyster case and bracelet with a naturally patterned tiger-iron dial and a brown-and-black Cerachrom 24-hour bezel. Rolex’s US product page lists the watch at $57,500 as of October 1, 2026. Its core travel function is straightforward: the arrow-tipped 24-hour hand and bezel track reference time, while the local-hour hand jumps independently when you cross time zones.
What the reference 126715CHNR is
Reference 126715CHNR is a full-Everose-gold GMT-Master II: the 40 mm Oyster case, three-piece Oyster bracelet and clasp are made in Rolex’s 18 kt pink-gold alloy. The watch belongs to the model’s modern generation, with a bidirectional 24-hour bezel, independently adjustable local hour hand, instantaneous date and stop-seconds function.
Rolex places this tiger-iron configuration among its 2025 new-dial releases. The bezel uses a brown-and-black Cerachrom insert, giving the watch the “Root Beer” color family without relying on a two-tone steel-and-gold case.
Tiger iron: a real stone, not a printed texture
Tiger iron is a natural metamorphic rock. Rolex describes the material as a complex structure composed of tiger’s eye, red jasper and silvery hematite. The company selects and assembles pieces whose golden and orangey tones work with the Everose case and bracelet.

Because the material is natural, every dial is individually patterned. Streaks, bands and the balance of orange, gold, red and silvery-gray areas can differ from one watch to another; a stock photograph should not be treated as a guarantee of the pattern on a particular example. Rolex says this is the first time it has used tiger iron on a watch.
How the colors and materials work together
On the reviewed sample, the dial’s warm mineral streaks sit naturally against the pink cast of the Everose metal. The dark brown-and-black ceramic bezel supplies a strong outer frame, separating the stone’s irregular surface from the polished and brushed gold case and bracelet. The result is more varied than a conventional lacquer or solid-metal dial because the visual texture changes as the light moves across the stone.
Weight, reflections and comfort are inherently sample- and wearer-dependent. The solid-gold construction gives the watch a substantial presence on the wrist, while the Oyster bracelet’s articulated links and safety clasp determine how that mass is distributed. Those are observations of the reviewed watch, not universal measurements for every wrist.
Case, bracelet and legibility
- Case: 40 mm Oyster architecture in 18 kt Everose gold.
- Bracelet: solid three-piece Oyster bracelet in Everose gold.
- Clasp: Oysterlock safety clasp with an Easylink comfort extension of approximately 5 mm.
- Night reading: Rolex’s Chromalight display uses long-lasting blue luminescence.
The dial’s stone pattern is the visual focal point, but the hands and hour markers remain designed for quick reading. The 24-hour hand is arrow-tipped so it can be distinguished from the local-hour hand during travel.
How the GMT-Master II tracks two time zones
Reference time with the 24-hour hand
Set the arrow-tipped 24-hour hand to a home or other reference time. Read it against the bezel’s 24-hour scale. The bidirectional bezel can also be rotated to create a temporary offset, useful when you want to follow a third time-zone difference without changing the hand setting.
Local time with the jumping hour hand
When traveling, use the winding crown to advance or move the local-hour hand backward in one-hour steps. The minute hand, seconds hand and 24-hour reference hand remain undisturbed, so the watch continues to show home time while the local time is corrected.

Rolex says it created and patented its own 18 kt pink-gold alloy in an in-house foundry. The company introduced Everose in 2005 for use on Oyster models in pink gold. For this GMT-Master II, the alloy gives the case and bracelet a warmer pink tone than yellow gold while keeping the entire exterior in one precious metal. Claims about exact composition or guaranteed long-term color performance are not established by the product information.

Who this GMT-Master II suits
- Choose it for the dial: tiger iron is the defining reason to select this reference; its natural variation makes each dial individual.
- Choose it for precious-metal presence: the case and bracelet are solid Everose gold rather than a mixed-metal configuration.
- Choose it for practical travel: the independently jumping local hour preserves the reference-time setting.
- Consider another GMT-Master II if: you prefer a less variable dial, a different case metal or a lower listed price. The closely related yellow-gold tiger-iron reference 126718GRNR changes the metal and color impression, while the travel-time architecture remains from the same GMT-Master II family.
