JAWS design details
Dial and bezel
Seiko USA describes a blue-and-white gradient, or ombré, dial pattern based on a memorable scene from the film. The JAWS logo is positioned at six o’clock. A blue ceramic display on the unidirectional bezel carries the diver-style timing scale.
Caseback and presentation

How the dimensions translate for buyers
On-wrist footprint
The 45.0 mm diameter, 13.2 mm thickness and 47.7 mm lug-to-lug measurement place the SRPL81 in large-diver territory by conventional sizing. Lug-to-lug is especially useful when checking whether the case will extend beyond the wrist; it is not a substitute for trying the watch on.
Strap compatibility
The 22 mm lug distance gives a clear starting point for replacement straps. Seiko supplies silicone, and any alternative should be confirmed for 22 mm fit and suitable spring-bar or clasp hardware before purchase.

The 4R36 winds automatically and by hand, offers approximately 41 hours of reserve and includes stop-seconds for setting the time precisely. Its day/date display adds everyday utility, while 24 jewels are part of Seiko’s stated specification.
Water-resistance package
Seiko rates the watch to 200 m / 660 ft as a diver’s watch. The package includes a screw-down crown, screw case back, unidirectional rotating bezel, sapphire crystal and LumiBrite on the hands, indices and bezel. The rating is a stated factory specification; it does not replace appropriate inspection and servicing after impact or seal work.

Seiko’s US SRPL81 product page lists a price of USD 795. That is the manufacturer’s displayed US price, not proof of a current transaction price in every market. The Seiko USA store page displayed “Notify me when in stock” when consulted, so stock status is volatile. Check the current manufacturer page or an authorized dealer immediately before ordering, and confirm seller, condition, authenticity, serial number, collector’s box and warranty coverage.
Who this limited edition suits
- Film collectors: the dial gradient, six-o’clock JAWS logo, shark-themed caseback, serial engraving and collector’s box are central to the proposition.
- Diver-watch buyers: the specification combines 200 m diver’s water resistance, a unidirectional bezel, sapphire crystal, screw-down crown and LumiBrite.
