What the Khaki Field Quartz offers
The H69301930 (33mm) and H69401930 (38mm) share the same basic recipe: a black dial, old-radium-colored Super-LumiNova indexes, a stainless-steel case and a green textile NATO strap with brown leather loops. Both have sapphire crystals and a manufacturer-rated water resistance of 5 bar (50m). Hamilton’s rating is a specification, not evidence of independent dive or impact testing.
Hamilton lists the two cited references at €440 including VAT on its regional product pages. That is the listed price for those references in that region; prices and availability can differ elsewhere.

Those measurements provide a more useful fit comparison than diameter alone. The 33mm version has a 41mm lug-to-lug span and narrower 18mm lugs; the 38mm measures 46mm lug to lug and takes 20mm straps. If you prefer a smaller footprint or already use 18mm straps, the 33mm is the natural starting point. Choose the 38mm if you want more dial and wrist presence, or need compatibility with 20mm straps. The dimensions describe case size, not how every wrist will experience the watch, so trying one on remains the surest fit check.

How it wears and what the hands-on review found
In its September 14, 2024 hands-on review, Fratello describes the cases as shaped and finished similarly to the Khaki Field Mechanical, with fully bead-blasted stainless steel and an angled bezel. The reviewer notes that the relatively flat profiles work well with the double-pass NATO strap and describes both watches as light on the wrist. These are subjective wearing impressions, not laboratory measurements.
Fratello’s reference list includes black-on-black, blue-on-blue and white-on-green dial-and-strap combinations in both sizes, alongside the black-on-green references covered here: 33mm H69301430, H69301940, H69301910 and H69301930; 38mm H69401430, H69401940, H69401910 and H69401930. Confirm the exact reference and configuration with the seller, since a reference number identifies a particular variant.

What changed in the collection in 2025?
Hamilton’s March 17, 2025 press release says the collection was extended with metal bracelets and a new khaki green dial, and confirms 33mm and 38mm models. The €440 figure above applies to the cited textile-strap references, not automatically to every later variant. Check Hamilton’s regional listing for the exact bracelet or green-dial reference and its current price.
Is quartz a good fit for a field watch?
Quartz suits a field watch if you value a watch that is ready to wear without winding. Its appeal is practical convenience; a mechanical Khaki Field offers a different movement character and the ritual of a wound watch. Hamilton identifies the movements in these quartz references, but the available specifications do not provide a model-specific accuracy figure, battery-life estimate or independent long-term test. It would be misleading to assign one here.

For an everyday watch, the decision is therefore less about a proven precision advantage and more about what you want from the movement. Pick quartz for grab-and-go use; consider a mechanical model if the movement itself is part of the enjoyment. Compare the exact mechanical reference and its current price separately rather than assuming equivalent layouts or costs.
Strap sizing and everyday durability
The 33mm model has 18mm lugs, and the 38mm has 20mm lugs, so those are the nominal widths to look for in replacement NATO straps. A correctly sized strap should fit the lug gap; check the strap’s construction and the seller’s stated compatibility before buying. A spring-bar tool can help with strap changes, but take care not to scratch the case or damage the spring bars.

Hamilton specifies stainless steel, a sapphire crystal and 5 bar (50m) water resistance for the cited watches. These specifications support everyday wear, but the water-resistance figure should not be treated as a claim of suitability for scuba diving. No independent drop testing, dive testing, battery-life measurement or long-term accuracy test is established for these models here.

At Hamilton’s listed €440 including VAT for the cited textile-strap references, the case for the watch is its restrained field-watch design, two compact size choices, sapphire crystal and straightforward quartz operation. Fratello’s reviewer also found the light, flat cases comfortable on a NATO strap. The price is a regional official listing, not a universal street price, and the reviewer’s comfort assessment is not a durability test.

It makes the most sense for someone who wants a simple, easy-to-wear Hamilton field watch and prefers quartz convenience. If you are choosing between the two sizes, use the 41mm versus 46mm lug-to-lug measurements and 18mm versus 20mm strap widths as practical guides. If you want a bracelet or green dial, check the exact 2025-era variant rather than assuming it shares the textile model’s price.
