What is the Tissot Chemin des Tourelles Squelette?
It is a skeleton-dial version of Tissot’s Chemin des Tourelles collection, built around an automatic Powermatic 80 movement. The open-worked front reveals parts of the mechanism, while the exhibition caseback provides another view from the rear. For the blue steel-bracelet model, the full reference is Tissot Chemin des Tourelles Skeleton 39 mm, T139.836.11.048.00. Tissot’s official French product page lists its current specifications: Tissot reference T139.836.11.048.00.
Michael Stockton’s May 20, 2024 Fratello review describes the collection as a straightforward daily watch with a slightly formal air. He found the Powermatic 80 visually engaging through the skeletonized dial, while characterizing the movement’s finishing as industrial in style. How the three versions differ
The launch range changes more than dial color: the blue version pairs a steel case with a bracelet and Roman numerals, while the two strap models use different index layouts; the black option also has a PVD-coated case.

The two Tissot prices are French-market listings, not universal prices or confirmation of stock. The black version’s figure is historical review data, not a current official price. Fratello describes the ivory and black versions as using simpler baton indexes with outer minute pips, in contrast to the blue dial’s Roman numerals.
Choosing a look and band
- Blue on steel: the most overtly traditional choice in the group, with Roman numerals and a bracelet rather than leather.
- Ivory on green leather: a lighter dial with a contrasting strap. Tissot lists this reference as having a quick-change strap option.
- Black PVD on leather: the darker, more uniform combination; its current official price and availability are not established by the cited listings.
Tissot lists a 20 mm lug width and interchangeable straps for the blue reference. That measurement does not by itself guarantee that every third-party strap will fit its attachment; confirm the fastening system as well as the width before buying a replacement.

What the open-worked dial shows
The skeleton treatment makes the Powermatic 80 the visual focus, revealing parts of the movement from the front as well as through the transparent caseback. Stockton notes that the blue version combines a hobnail or Clous de Paris-style dial texture with Roman numerals; he describes the ivory and black dials as using baton indexes and outer minute pips. He also observed no luminous material on the reviewed watches and noted that “Tissot 1853” is printed beneath the domed crystal. These details are his review observations, not a promise that every wearer will find the dial equally legible.
Powermatic 80: the practical specifications
For reference T139.836.11.048.00, Tissot specifies an automatic mechanical movement with an 80-hour power reserve and a patented Nivachron balance spring. An 80-hour reserve is the manufacturer’s stated running time when the watch is fully wound; it does not mean the watch will maintain that reserve regardless of how it is worn or wound. Tissot says Nivachron is more resistant and less sensitive to magnetic fields than standard balance springs, but the product page gives no resistance rating to quantify that claim.

Case size, thickness and fit
Tissot lists the blue model at 39 mm in diameter and 11.22 mm thick, with a 20 mm lug width. Fratello’s May 2024 review gives 39 mm diameter, 43.7 mm lug-to-lug and 11.2 mm thickness. The current official page inspected lists diameter and thickness, but not lug-to-lug. Stockton felt the footprint could work on many wrists and fit beneath a sleeve; that is one reviewer’s impression, not a fit guarantee. Wrist shape and strap or bracelet adjustment affect how a watch wears.
Water resistance and materials
Tissot lists the blue reference as water resistant to 5 bar (50 m / 165 ft). This is the stated rating, not a product-page recommendation for a particular activity or a guarantee of suitability for every kind of water exposure. The same page specifies a 316L stainless-steel case and bracelet, sapphire crystal with antireflective coating, and transparent caseback. It notes that water resistance is checked, but does not provide use-specific swimming guidance.

Prices and what is current
As of the October 2026 access date, Tissot’s French pages displayed €1,045 for the blue bracelet model and €975 for the ivory strap model. These are regional catalog prices, not a global price list, and a catalog listing does not establish current stock. Fratello’s May 20, 2024 review reported launch-era prices of €1,045 for blue, €1,025 for black PVD and €975 for ivory. Treat the black price in particular as historical: a current official price and stock status for that reference were not verified.
