Case and finishing
The 41mm stainless-steel case uses brushed flat surfaces and polished case bands. Its notched bezel combines polished surfaces with cut grooves, giving the watch a dressier alternative to Tudor’s tool-watch designs. At 10.5mm thick, it is relatively restrained for a watch carrying a full day-and-date mechanism.
A screw-down crown and screw-down caseback support the stated 100m (330ft) water resistance. That rating is suitable for everyday swimming and general water exposure when the crown is properly secured, but it does not make the Royal a dedicated dive watch.

Blue dial and day-date layout
The blue dial has a sunray-brushed surface that changes character with the light. Applied Roman numerals provide the main hour markers, while the hands carry luminous material for low-light reading. The defining layout is the day aperture at 12 o’clock paired with a date window at 3 o’clock.
The 41mm case is the Royal configuration that combines both calendar indications. If you want a Royal with only a date display, the smaller current variants are a different proposition rather than substitutes for this exact reference.

Integrated five-link bracelet
The bracelet is integrated into the case instead of using conventional lugs. Its outer and central links are satin-brushed, with polished intermediate links that echo the bezel’s dressier surfaces. A folding clasp with a safety catch secures the bracelet.
Integration creates a continuous case-to-bracelet silhouette and is central to the Royal’s sporty-chic identity. Actual comfort and wrist presence depend on wrist shape and sizing; the available specifications do not establish a controlled wear test.

Calibre T603: movement and reserve
Tudor lists calibre T603 as a self-winding mechanical movement operating at 4Hz with 25 jewels. The movement is COSC-certified in Tudor’s specification sheet, and its stated power reserve is approximately 38 hours.
A 38-hour reserve is enough to cover a typical overnight pause but is shorter than the multi-day reserves found in some newer automatic movements. If the watch is left off the wrist for longer than that, expect to reset the time and calendar before wearing it again.

What did the Tudor Royal 41mm cost?
Monochrome recorded the following launch prices in 2020:
| Region | 2020 launch price | Price status |
|---|---|---|
| Eurozone | EUR 2,190 | Historical launch price |
| Switzerland | CHF 2,200 | Historical launch price |
| United States | USD 2,325 | Historical launch price |
Those figures should not be treated as the current price. Tudor’s current collection page highlights newer Royal 40mm, 36mm and 30mm variants, so availability and regional pricing for M28600-0005 must be checked with Tudor or an authorized retailer in 2026. A listing for this discontinued or less-common reference may therefore be new old stock, pre-owned, or a regional remnant rather than current catalog stock.

Is the Tudor Royal 41mm worth buying?
It is most compelling when the following combination is your priority:
- A 41mm integrated-bracelet design with a polished-and-brushed steel finish.
- A blue sunray dial with Roman numerals rather than a conventional sports-watch index layout.
- Useful day-and-date information in one watch.
- Sapphire crystal, screw-down construction and 100m water resistance for everyday versatility.
- A COSC-certified automatic movement from Tudor.
There are also clear trade-offs:
- The approximately 38-hour reserve is modest if you rotate several watches.
- The 41mm case may wear large on smaller wrists, and bracelet integration limits strap experimentation.
- The mixed polished and brushed surfaces are style-focused rather than strictly utilitarian.
- Because the reference is not among the sizes emphasized on Tudor’s current collection page, finding verified stock and a current price may require contacting multiple dealers.
Buy it when the day-date display and Royal’s integrated, dress-sport styling are the reasons you want this watch—not simply because it is a Tudor at an old published price. Confirm the exact reference, seller status, warranty and condition before paying, especially for secondary-market examples.
