Copy , paste it into the paired iPhone’s Watch → My Watch → Clock → Monogram field, then choose Monogram as a complication on a compatible watch face. Apple does not provide a separate Apple-logo complication.
1. Copy the Apple logo character
Copy this single character:
It is not a universally defined emoji. The character is in Unicode’s Private Use Area at U+F8FF, so its appearance depends on the receiving device’s font and character mapping. It may show as a blank square outside Apple software. See Unicode’s explanation of private-use characters.
2. Paste it into the Monogram setting
- Open the Watch app on the iPhone paired with your Apple Watch.
- Tap My Watch.
- Tap Clock.
- Tap Monogram.
- Select and delete the existing initials or text.
- Paste
into the field. - Leave the field and allow the Watch app to synchronize.
The field is designed for short monograms, so long combinations of logos and text may be truncated or render inconsistently. The route has been documented in earlier procedural coverage by AppleInsider.
3. Put Monogram on the watch face
- Display the watch face.
- Touch and hold the face.
- Tap Edit.
- Swipe left until the complication controls appear.
- Tap a complication position that accepts Monogram.
- Turn the Digital Crown or swipe through the available choices.
- Select Monogram.
- Press the Digital Crown or tap the face to finish.
Pasting the character into the iPhone setting does not automatically place it on the face; the face must use the Monogram complication. Apple’s current editing instructions are at Apple Support.

Which faces support Monogram?
Support varies by face, style, complication position, Apple Watch model, screen size and watchOS version. Apple lists available complications separately for each face. Compatible examples include:
| Face | Monogram availability | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Color | Available on compatible configurations | Choose a slot whose complication list includes Monogram. |
| Typograph | Available in supported styles | Different styles can expose different slots. |
| Other faces | Varies | Check that face’s documented complication list. |
For the face-by-face list, see Apple’s Apple Watch face guide. You can also configure the face from Watch → Face Gallery: choose a compatible face, select Monogram in an available slot, and tap Add to Watch.

If Monogram does not appear
- The selected face may not support Monogram.
- The particular slot may accept only certain complication types.
- The chosen face style may have a different complication set.
- The Monogram change may not have synchronized yet.
Try a compatible Color or supported Typograph configuration, then test another slot. Apple’s face guide identifies the choices available for each configuration.
If the logo appears as a square
A square or missing glyph usually means the receiving font does not map U+F8FF to Apple’s logo. Copy the character again from an Apple device and paste it directly into the Monogram field. If it still fails, use initials or a standard symbol instead. Do not treat as a platform-independent emoji; Unicode does not assign a universal meaning to private-use code points.

Why the logo is small or in an unexpected place
Watch faces supply predefined complication families and layouts. You cannot drag Monogram freely or force it into the center of every face. A circular, corner, inline or rectangular slot can change the logo’s size, alignment and color treatment. Try another compatible face or slot. Apple explains these placement constraints in its complication documentation.
Alternatives and limitations
Use a Photos face
You can prepare an image containing the logo and use it with a Photos face, which gives more control over artwork and placement. It is not a native complication, requires preparing and syncing an image, and can reduce clock readability. Apple documents Photos faces in its watch-face instructions.

Use a third-party app
Third-party face or complication apps are unnecessary for the native Monogram method and may add compatibility, synchronization, privacy or subscription issues.
Use initials or another symbol
If the private-use character will not render, initials or a standard Unicode symbol are the dependable fallback, although they will not reproduce Apple’s logo.

What this method actually provides
The result is the Apple logo character displayed by the built-in Monogram complication—not a separate Apple-logo complication supplied by Apple. It requires no additional app, but it works only where the selected face exposes a Monogram slot, and the face controls the final position and appearance.
If you use the logo in commercial or promotional material beyond personal watch customization, review Apple’s trademark and intellectual-property guidelines.
