Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →To set a G-SHOCK analog-digital watch, adjust its digital time using the instructions for its module number, then correct the hands separately if they do not match. Find the module number on the case back before following a button sequence: G-SHOCK controls vary by module, so one model’s steps may not work on another.
Find the module number and the right guide
Look for the module number engraved on the back of the watch and use the matching Casio operation guide. For example, module 3506 uses A, C, B, and D to navigate, while module 3475 uses A and D to change values and C to confirm. These examples are not universal instructions for every G-SHOCK.
Some connected models can receive time from a phone or GPS, but the available instructions here establish manual adjustment for modules 3506 and 3475; they do not establish that every analog-digital model supports those signals. Casio notes for module 3506 that “If your watch cannot connect with a phone for some reason, you can use watch operations to adjust date and time settings.” Read the module 3506 operation guide or the module 3475 guide for the controls on your watch.
Set the digital time
Put the watch in Timekeeping Mode before opening its adjustment menu. Follow the procedure for the module; the exact confirmation and exit buttons differ.

These steps and menu labels are for module 3506. Consult its official operation guide if the display or button response differs.

- Hold A to open the setting screen, then select TIME ADJUSTMENT > MANUAL.
- Use A or D to change the displayed values and C to confirm each selection.

Module 3475 has a different control sequence from module 3506. Use the module 3475 operation guide for its complete menu navigation.

- {"bullet_point1":"clip-on"}
- The rugged watch's 45.4mm case is expertly crafted from fine resin mixed with carbon fiber, an innovative composition that is lighter and more durable than resin
- The smooth black dial features an analog-digital display and double LED light feature, for easy visibility in the dark
Check Home City, daylight saving time, and time format
If the watch is an hour off, check its Home City and daylight saving time (DST) setting before changing the hands. In the cited module 3506 guide, DST options are AUTO, OFF, and ON; AUTO is the factory default. Choose the Home City that matches the time zone you want the watch to display. Menu availability and labels may differ on other modules.
The time-adjustment menu also offers 12H or 24H display on modules 3506 and 3475. With 12-hour timekeeping selected, P marks p.m. Check the format if the time looks wrong but the hour itself appears correct. See the module 3506 guide and module 3475 guide for their respective controls.

Correct hands that do not match the digital display
If the digital time is correct but the hands show a different time, use the watch’s Hand Alignment Adjustment procedure—not the regular digital time setting. Casio explains that “Strong magnetism or impact can cause the time indicated by the analog hands to become different from the time on the digital display.” The adjustment steps are module-specific; consult the matching guide. Casio’s module 5536 guide describes this possible cause and the hand-alignment procedure.
Legacy module 5338
For module 5338, enter Hand Setting Mode and hold D until the analog setting flashes. Press D to advance the hands in 20-second increments; holding D advances them at high speed. This is a specific procedure for module 5338, not a general method for other G-SHOCKs. Follow the module 5338 operation guide.

Move the hands to uncover the LCD
If the hands are correct but cover the digital display, use Hand Shift if your module supports it. On module 5724, hold B while pressing C to move the hands away from the LCD; repeat the operation to return them. If they remain shifted, they resume their normal positions after about one hour. Hand Shift changes the hands’ position to reveal the display; it is not a time-setting or alignment procedure. See the module 5724 operation guide.
