Yes—you can assess both devices without already owning either one, but there is no verified universal loaner or combined free-trial program. Visit a Samsung Experience Store or participating retailer for a physical watch or ring demonstration, use Samsung’s purchase-linked Ring sizing kit for an extended fit check, and treat virtual try-on as an appearance aid rather than a comfort test.
The most reliable route: call a store before you visit
Samsung announced U.S. availability for the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Ring through Samsung Experience Stores and retailers including Amazon, AT&T, and Best Buy. That announcement does not guarantee that every branch has an open, charged demo of both products. Check with the specific location before traveling.
Ask whether the store has a display or working demo, which generation and model it is, and whether you can put it on. A branch may have boxed inventory, an inactive sample, a tethered display, or no wearable sample at all.

A store visit is normally a free look or fitting, not a guaranteed multi-day loan. Do not assume staff will permit a workout, sleep test, or extended take-home trial.

What a physical try-on can actually tell you
Galaxy Watch Ultra
Wear the watch for several minutes with the band both snug and loose. Check whether the case feels top-heavy, clears your wrist when it bends, catches on a sleeve, or makes the buttons difficult to reach. View the display at the angle you would normally use it and compare it with a regular Galaxy Watch if one is available.
- Case size and perceived weight
- Band pressure and adjustment range
- Wrist flexion and sleeve clearance
- Screen visibility and control placement
- Whether the watch feels too conspicuous for sleeping or exercise
A virtual preview cannot establish weight, strap comfort, pressure, sleep comfort, or workout ergonomics.
Galaxy Ring
Try the finger on which you actually intend to wear the Ring. Make a fist, grip an object, move your hand, and compare neighboring sizes. Look for sensor pressure, rotation, clothing snags, interference with another ring, and whether the thickness or finish bothers you. Finger size can change during the day, so a 30-second fitting is only an initial impression.
Stores may offer a functional Ring, an electronically inactive sample, a sizing display, or nothing. A physically accurate sample can show thickness and fit without measuring health data.

Samsung’s Ring sizing kit is the best extended fit check
If you are seriously considering a Ring but do not know your size, Samsung’s official checkout flow lets you select “No, I don’t know my size.” The company sends sample rings before you finalize the size. Samsung’s U.S. guidance covers sizes 5 through 15 and warns that an ordinary ring size may not transfer because of the Ring’s internal sensors. Read Samsung’s sizing instructions.
- Start a Galaxy Ring order and choose “No, I don’t know my size.”
- Complete checkout with the sizing kit included.
- Wait for the sample rings to arrive before confirming the final size.
- Try the samples on the intended finger and compare adjacent sizes.
- Wear the best candidate for more than 24 hours, including while sleeping.
- If it becomes uncomfortable, test another sample.
- Use Samsung’s follow-up link to return to the order and confirm the size.
The samples are for measuring fit only; they are not operating Galaxy Rings and cannot test sensors, Samsung Health, battery life, or charging. Virtual and augmented-reality previews: useful for looks, limited for comfort
Samsung has described an AR “Look” shopping experience that places products such as Galaxy Watches on your body so you can compare appearance, color, and approximate scale. Samsung’s AR explanation does not establish a substitute for wearing the physical device, and current Shop-app labels or availability may vary.
Use virtual try-on when appearance is your main question. Do not rely on it if you have a small wrist, are sensitive to bulk or pressure, need to judge sleep comfort, or want to know whether a Ring rotates or catches on clothing.

You can physically wear a device without owning a Galaxy phone, but the software experience is separate from the hardware fit. Samsung describes the ecosystem as involving the Galaxy Wearable app, Samsung Health, and a Samsung account. Ask the store which phone, account, and apps power its demonstration.
For a live demo, ask whether the unit is actually paired, whether Samsung Health data is being shown, and which features are simulated. A staff phone proves that the store’s setup works; it does not prove that every feature will work with your phone, account, or country configuration.

The available Samsung information supports store demonstrations and the Ring sizing process, not a guaranteed rental, loan, or free period in which you take both products home. A store may let you compare them side by side, but neither a brief fitting nor a sizing sample reproduces weeks of battery use, charging, sleep comfort, workout tracking, skin tolerance, or the practical overlap between the two devices.
The Ring has no watch-style screen or on-wrist controls; the Watch is more visible and interactive but may feel bulkier for sleep. Treat Samsung’s complementary-device messaging as an ecosystem description, not proof that buying both will suit you.

Verify which “Galaxy Watch Ultra” you are trying
By 2026, Samsung and retailers may use the Galaxy Watch Ultra name for an original 2024 model and refreshed listings. Before comparing prices or reviews, record the exact model number, LTE or Bluetooth edition, generation or refresh, included band, and country SKU. Samsung’s March 2026 U.S. MSRP document lists several Galaxy Watch Ultra LTE SKUs at $649.99; that is a U.S. MSRP signal, not necessarily the sale price or the price in another market. A practical decision path
If appearance is the concern
Start with Samsung’s product images and AR preview, then confirm the finish and proportions at a store. This answers color and general scale, not comfort.
If Watch comfort is the concern
Call ahead for a working or wearable sample. Test tight and loose band positions, wrist flexion, sleeve clearance, button access, case balance, and screen readability.
If Ring comfort or sizing is the concern
Use the sizing kit if you are ready to enter Samsung’s purchase flow, and wear the chosen sample for more than 24 hours, including sleep. That is stronger evidence than a brief store fitting.

Request a paired, working demonstration and ask what is measured versus merely shown. A demo cannot establish your sleep results, battery endurance, charging habits, exercise experience, or long-term skin comfort.
If you own neither a Galaxy phone nor a Samsung account
Use a store to evaluate the physical hardware, then verify compatibility and required apps before ordering. Do not infer your software feature set from a staff phone.
