Oris has refreshed the Big Crown Pointer Date with a 40 mm stainless-steel case, colourful dials and a new H-link bracelet. The Calibre 403 editions highlighted by the brand come in green and terracotta; the detailed specifications and US price below are for the green-dial steel-bracelet reference, 01 403 7799 4067-07 8 20 06.
What changed on the new Big Crown Pointer Date?
Oris frames the update as a design refresh of its established Big Crown Pointer Date: a 40 mm steel case, a new H-link bracelet and more vivid dial colours. The company says the original Big Crown Pointer Date appeared in 1938, and calls the Calibre 403 version “our icon reborn.” Both statements are Oris’s own historical and product copy, rather than independent findings. Oris’s Watches & Wonders Geneva collection page presents green and terracotta Calibre 403 editions, while distinguishing them from other new Big Crown Pointer Date variants. The Calibre 403 movement should not be assumed to be in every colourful model.

Will the new H-link bracelet fit the 38 mm Big Crown Pointer Date?
Oris’s 2025 image booklet says the new bracelet also fits existing 38 mm Big Crown Pointer Date models. That is useful compatibility guidance, but it does not identify every compatible reference or bracelet part. Before buying a bracelet separately, confirm the exact watch reference and part number with Oris or an authorized retailer. Oris’s 2025 image booklet is the source for the stated fit.

The green Calibre 403 reference has a defined specification, but the collection includes other colourful versions with different configurations. For a meaningful comparison, check the movement, case diameter, dial and bezel, reserve, water resistance, strap or bracelet, warranty terms and local price for each exact reference. The available specifications here do not establish that the Calibre 403 is a better-value choice than other Big Crown Pointer Date models or competing watches.
