The manually wound, 38.5 mm stainless-steel watch combines a salmon tremblage dial with a modified Swiss-made Sellita SW210 movement. The original 388-piece “Sjef’s One” edition is marked sold out on GRØNE’s official site.
Why the Grönefeld brothers created GRØNE
GRØNE is a separate, more accessible line from the brothers behind the atelier-made Grönefeld watches. “Accessible” is relative: the label is intended to reach more collectors than the atelier brand, not to make a low-cost watch.
On GRØNE’s official brand page, Bart and Tim Grönefeld say their atelier produces only 70 to 80 watches per year, a founder-provided figure rather than an independently audited production statistic. They cite long waitlists, high demand and high prices as reasons many prospective owners could not obtain a Grönefeld watch. Their stated aim with GRØNE is to broaden access while preserving their standards of design, aesthetics and quality. GRØNE’s brand statement describes the project as a way to bring a watch they designed to “many many more” people.
What the Manueel One is
The Manueel One is a hand-wound mechanical watch with hours, minutes and seconds, plus stop-seconds (hacking) so the seconds hand stops when the crown is pulled out. It launched as “Sjef’s One,” a dedication to the brothers’ father. The official launch page describes a 388-piece limited run. GRØNE’s Sjef’s One page lists the original price as €2,150, excluding VAT, duties and shipping.

Case, dial and wearing dimensions
| Specification | Manueel One detail |

| Case material | 316L polished stainless steel |
| Diameter | 38.5 mm |
| Thickness | 9 mm without the sapphire crystal; 10 mm including it |
| Lug-to-lug | 46 mm |
| Lug width | 20 mm |
| Crystal | Scratch-resistant sapphire with anti-reflective coating on both sides |
| Water resistance | 5 ATM |
| Supplied strap | Calf leather with a 16 mm buckle |
The dial’s center uses salmon-colored tremblage, a textured finish surrounded by a two-step brushed, rhodium-plated dial. Diamond-cut edges and applied diamond-cut baton markers add contrast above the center. A solid caseback is engraved with an ancient map of Oldenzaal dated by the brand to 1626, with the Grönefeld atelier location marked.
At 38.5 mm across and 46 mm lug-to-lug, the dimensions sit in a compact, traditionally proportioned range. The 20 mm lug width identifies the nominal strap size, but width alone does not guarantee that every replacement strap will clear the case or fit its spring bars.

- [High Quality Movement] Adopts high-quality imported movement, which is quiet enough to not generate too much noise even in the middle of the night. The powerful movement makes it run smoothly and has a service life of over 10 years.
- [Intimate Function] The luminous pointer allows you to wake up at night and know the current time in a timely manner, which is very convenient. Waterproof 50 meters (165 feet): Suitable for short periods of leisure swimming and showering, but not suitable for diving or snorkeling
- [Perfect Gift] Our luxurious carved mechanical watch is the perfect watch for various business, leisure, indoor activities, or daily use. It is the perfect gift for your lover, friends, and family
Movement and daily operation
GRØNE specifies a modified Swiss-made SW210 caliber. The movement has 19 jewels, beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and provides a stated 42-hour power reserve. As a manually wound watch, it requires regular crown winding rather than relying on wrist motion from an automatic rotor. Stop-seconds allow the owner to set the time precisely.

The launch-page price was €2,150 before VAT, duties and shipping. GRØNE’s official Sjef’s One page now marks the 388-watch edition sold out. That status describes the brand’s own inventory; it does not establish whether individual examples are available from collectors or secondary-market sellers, nor does it establish a current resale price.

How “accessible” should be understood
The Manueel One makes the Grönefeld brothers’ design approach available at a lower entry point than their atelier watches, but €2,150 before taxes and delivery remains a luxury-watch price. The meaningful comparison is therefore with the atelier line’s positioning and scarcity, not with mass-market mechanical watches. GRØNE’s About page summarizes the goal as creating something “more accessible while pushing the boundaries of what the brand can achieve.” Read the brand’s About statement.
Who the Manueel One suits
- Collectors seeking a smaller case: the 38.5 mm diameter and 46 mm lug-to-lug length offer a restrained footprint.
- Owners who enjoy interaction: the hand-winding SW210 requires deliberate winding and offers stop-seconds for precise setting.
- Dial-focused buyers: the salmon tremblage center, brushed rhodium surround and faceted markers provide the watch’s visual identity.
- Potential strap changers: 20 mm is the stated lug width, but replacement fit must be confirmed for the specific strap and hardware.
Bottom line
The GRØNE Manueel One is a compact, hand-wound mechanical watch that translates the Grönefeld brothers’ aesthetic into a more widely positioned product. Its defining facts are the salmon tremblage dial, modified Swiss SW210 movement, 42-hour reserve, 5 ATM rating and 388-piece Sjef’s One edition. The original €2,150 listing and official availability are historical launch details: GRØNE now lists that edition as sold out.
