The Studio Underd0g 02SERIES is a compact, deliberately unconventional take on the traditional field watch. The current product is Generation 2: a 37.5 mm stainless-steel watch with a 46 mm lug-to-lug span, playful layered dials and a manufacturer-rated 63-hour power reserve. It keeps the practical field-watch brief while using color, sapphire and lume as the visual focus.
From the original 02SERIES idea to Generation 2
The 02SERIES was introduced as Studio Underd0g’s playful interpretation of a field watch, with the Dirty Dozen military watches as a historical reference point. Rather than reproducing that austere formula, Studio Underd0g uses unusual colors and layered dial construction to make the design intentionally distinctive.
The exact title of this article refers to older launch coverage. The specifications below describe the contemporary Generation 2 listings and should not be read as specifications for the original release.

These figures are manufacturer-published specifications, not results from an independent accuracy, water-resistance or power-reserve test. The Nightshade Generation 2 listing also says the updated movement adds 21 hours of reserve over the previous generation; that comparison is Studio Underd0g’s claim.

A small field-watch case with modern proportions
At 37.5 mm, the case sits in the compact range associated with many historical field watches. The 46 mm lug-to-lug measurement is especially useful when estimating how far the watch will extend across the wrist. Its 11.5 mm thickness includes the two-part 316L-steel case and the layered dial construction.

The dial construction changes by colorway
Steffany Blue
The Steffany Blue Generation 2 listing describes a 1 mm sapphire top dial over a brass base and seven layers of Super-LumiNova. The depth comes from stacking materials rather than relying only on surface printing, giving the dial its sculptural, colorful appearance.
Nightshade
Nightshade is not described with exactly the same construction. Its listing specifies a tinted sapphire top dial and a silver sunray base. That distinction matters: dial architecture and finishing should be checked against the particular colorway rather than generalized across the collection.

Studio Underd0g lists a Swiss Sellita SW200-2 M Power+ with manual winding, a 4 Hz beat rate and a 63-hour reserve. Hacking stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled out, allowing more precise setting. The stated −7/+7 seconds-per-day figure is the brand’s published tolerance, not a measured result from a review.
The combination of hand-winding capability, hacking and a reserve that extends beyond two days makes the watch straightforward to set and restart after it has stopped. Buyers comparing it with another 02SERIES generation should verify the movement designation and reserve, because Generation 2 is the version associated with the 63-hour figure.

Strap, lug width and sizing
The supplied strap is made by The Strap Tailor. It is 18 mm at the lugs and tapers to 16 mm, uses quick-release spring bars and has a signed 316L-steel buckle.
