The revised TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Date is a 42 mm automatic diver’s watch rated to 300 m, powered by TAG Heuer’s TH31-00 calibre and specified as COSC-certified. It is a different generation from the discontinued 43 mm Calibre 5 Date models. TAG Heuer’s June 3, 2024 brochure lists black, blue and green dial versions on steel bracelets, plus rubber-strap alternatives for selected references.
This is a specification-led examination of the revised model. The available material is manufacturer product information, not an independent wearing, timing or dive test.
What is new on the revised Aquaracer Professional 300 Date?
TAG Heuer describes four principal updates: a revised minute track, a more prominent shield-shaped hour hand, a reworked crown grip and a clasp adjustment system. The company presents the dial and hand changes as legibility improvements and the crown and clasp changes as usability updates. Those are manufacturer claims rather than independently measured results.
TAG Heuer’s brochure summarizes the design intent this way: “The updated minute track and more prominent hour hand, now featuring the shield shape, ensure immediate legibility, while the second hand and wave pattern on the dial capture the essence of aquatic exploration.”

Clasp adjustment
The steel bracelet clasp is specified with five adaptable positions and a 1 cm adjustment range. That gives the wearer more sizing flexibility than a fixed-length bracelet, although actual comfort depends on wrist shape, bracelet sizing and individual tolerance.

The revised watch should not be treated as a minor color or dial update to the earlier 43 mm Aquaracer. The case size and movement generation change.
| Point of comparison | Revised Date | Earlier WBP201A.BA0632 / WBP201B.BA0632 generation |
|---|---|---|
| Case diameter | 42 mm | 43 mm |

TAG Heuer’s U.S. page showed $4,100 for WBP201A.BA0632 when accessed, but that was a dated listing detail for a discontinued model. It is not a current price for the revised Date and does not establish present market value or inventory. The blue WBP201B.BA0632 listing was also marked discontinued.

What the specifications mean in use
42 mm case
At 42 mm, the revised Date is 1 mm smaller in diameter than the previous 43 mm version. That numerical change may matter to buyers comparing wrist presence, but case diameter alone does not determine fit; thickness, lug shape and wrist circumference also influence how a watch wears. Those dimensions and an independent comfort comparison are not established in the available material.
300 m water resistance
The 300 m rating is a model specification from TAG Heuer. It indicates the stated water-resistance class, not a guarantee that every watch will retain that rating without correct crown engagement, intact gaskets and periodic pressure testing.
TH31-00 and COSC
TAG Heuer specifies the automatic TH31-00 calibre and COSC certification for the Date. COSC certification describes the movement’s regulated chronometer standard under the certifying organization’s testing conditions; it is not an independent claim that this particular watch will maintain a specific daily rate in every position, temperature or stage of service.
Ceramic bezels and dial patterns
The black, blue and green bracelet references pair colored ceramic bezels with sunray-brushed, wavy-pattern dials. The blue version adds an orange central hand, creating the strongest color contrast among the listed Date configurations. The aesthetic wave pattern is a design element, not evidence of a measured functional advantage.
Buying and verification checklist
- Confirm the exact reference: WBP5110.BA0013, WBP5111.BA0013, WBP5116.BA0013 or a listed rubber-strap variant.
- Check that the seller identifies the watch as the 42 mm TH31-00 generation, not a discontinued 43 mm Calibre 5 model.
- Verify regional price, warranty terms, delivery status and stock directly with the seller; the cited brochure does not provide a universal current price.
- Inspect whether the bracelet or rubber strap is included, since strap variants use different reference numbers.
- For a pre-owned or stored example, request service and pressure-test documentation before relying on the 300 m rating.
What is not established by the available evidence
No independent timing test, laboratory water test, dive trial, personal wearing trial or comparative comfort assessment is documented here. There is also no verified cross-region price, retailer inventory snapshot or independent statistic comparing this watch with competitors. Such claims require current, separately documented testing.
The Bottom Line
The revised Aquaracer Professional 300 Date is a genuine generation change: a 42 mm case, TH31-00 automatic movement, stated COSC certification and 300 m water resistance, with revised legibility details and a more adjustable clasp. Choose among the black, blue and green configurations by reference and strap; do not use the discontinued 43 mm Calibre 5 listings or their dated $4,100 U.S. price as a proxy for the new model.
