In one notable sense, yes: the limited-edition Christopher Ward C60 Clipper GMT pairs a red-and-blue GMT look with a Pan Am connection, echoing the aviation story behind the Rolex GMT-Master. That is a design and heritage comparison, not a claim that the watches share construction, movement or time-zone setting behavior.
What is the Christopher Ward C60 Clipper GMT?
The C60 Clipper GMT is a Christopher Ward and Pan Am collaboration. T3 reported that production is limited to 707 pieces worldwide. Its GMT styling draws on Pan Am’s history, while the watch’s design includes an off-white eggshell dial, yellow-toned markers and red-and-blue accents.
T3’s launch report describes an aluminum bezel marked with airport codes, including Dallas and Key West—locations it says were selected for their associations with Pan Am and Christopher Ward. The combination of the color scheme and airline heritage is the basis for the Rolex comparison: T3 notes that the Rolex GMT-Master II also had a 1950s connection to Pan Am. Calling the C60 Clipper GMT more Rolex-like than earlier Christopher Ward watches is an editorial judgment about its styling and story, not a technical equivalence.
What are its reported specifications and launch price?
T3’s January 2026 launch report and hands-on coverage give the following figures. They are publication-reported specifications, not independent measurements for this article; prices are launch-era prices, not confirmation of current stock or market value.

How does it compare with the Rolex GMT-Master II?
The strongest likeness is the red-and-blue visual treatment and the Pan Am association. Beyond that, the available details point to different watches rather than interchangeable versions of the same product.

The Rolex figures above are for the current U.S.-site reference 126720VTNR, a green-and-black model, not the red-and-blue variant that makes the visual comparison intuitive. Rolex says the GMT-Master II tracks a second time zone with a 24-hour hand and graduated bezel; the listed reference also has an independently rapid-setting local hour hand. Rolex gives its accuracy as -2/+2 seconds per day after casing. The cited T3 coverage does not establish that the Clipper GMT has the same local-hour setting behavior, so the watches should not be assumed to work identically when crossing time zones.
What does GMT mean in everyday use?
A GMT watch helps display another time zone alongside local time. The useful distinction is how the local hour is adjusted when travelling. Hodinkee’s March 2026 explanation calls a watch with a jumping local hour hand a “flyer” GMT; a “caller” or “office” GMT is suited to tracking another zone while the wearer stays at home. Both are valid GMT designs—the better fit depends on whether the wearer travels across time zones or mainly monitors one elsewhere.

That general distinction does not establish the C60 Clipper GMT’s exact setting behavior. Hodinkee identifies Christopher Ward’s later C63 True GMT as a flyer GMT and distinguishes it from earlier GMT models such as the C60 Clipper; the C63’s behavior should not be attributed to the Clipper.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What did T3’s reviewer think of wearing it?
After a week with the watch, T3 reviewer Sam Cross said the GMT layout was easy to read, but the watch felt larger than his usual preference. He found the NATO strap comfortable and said its fit added some heft. Those are Cross’s personal impressions, not a universal assessment of fit.
