The Titan Nebula Jalsa is a ten-piece luxury watch built around an ornate hand-painted marble dial and Titan’s 7TH2 flying tourbillon. Titan design executive Mahendra Chauhan said each watch cost more than ₹40 lakh and that all ten had sold by the time of his interview. He also described the movement as designed, engineered and decorated in-house—but said about 80% of its components were made by Titan, with the balance wheel and escapement module sourced from Switzerland.
What is the Titan Nebula Jalsa?
Jalsa is a limited-edition watch in Titan’s Nebula collection. Titan’s launch description says it was launched in Jaipur and combines an 18K rose-gold case adorned with red agate, a hand-painted marble dial by Padma Shri S. Shakir Ali, and the 7TH2 flying tourbillon calibre. Titan presented the design as a meeting of craft and watchmaking; that is the company’s characterization, rather than an independent assessment of the finished watch. Titan’s launch post
The artistic brief is unusually prominent for a watch whose complication could otherwise dominate its identity. The dial’s marble surface and Ali’s hand-painted work provide the visual focus, while the red agate accents and rose-gold case frame it. The available company description identifies the materials and artist, but does not detail the painting process, dial dimensions or case measurements.
What does Titan mean by “in-house”?
For Jalsa, “in-house” describes substantial development and production, not a movement made entirely from Titan-produced parts. In Titan’s interview, design executive Mahendra Chauhan said the 7TH2 was designed, engineered and decorated in-house, and that about 80% of its components were produced in-house. He specified that the balance wheel and escapement module came from Switzerland. Titan Company interview with Mahendra Chauhan

Chauhan said development took “close to three and a half years.” That figure is his account of the project’s development timeline, not a published independent estimate. The distinction between in-house design and complete domestic manufacture matters: the movement involved Titan’s own work alongside at least those Swiss-sourced components.
What is known—and not known—about the 7TH2?
Titan identifies the 7TH2 as its second in-house flying tourbillon calibre. Chauhan said it had Titan’s internal certification and no external certification at the time of the interview; he suggested outside certification might occur later. The sources cited here do not establish whether any external certification followed. Titan launch post · Titan Company interview

Nor do the available primary-source descriptions establish a verified Jalsa power reserve, measured rate deviation or independent performance test. A launch-newswire report republished by Webindia123 says the 7TH2 has 144 parts and 14 jewels, but Titan’s launch post and Chauhan’s interview do not confirm those figures. Treat them as a secondary report, not settled specifications. Webindia123 republication of the BusinessWire India report
One easy source of confusion is Titan’s earlier 7TH1 tourbillon. Titan’s 2024–25 annual report gives that calibre a count of 141 parts; the figure belongs to 7TH1, not Jalsa’s 7TH2. Titan 2024–25 annual report

How many were made, and what did they cost?
Chauhan said Titan made ten Jalsa watches and priced each at “over 40 lakh rupees.” He also said all ten had sold by the time of the interview. These are interview statements: they establish the reported edition size, price threshold and sell-through at that point, not an exact retail price or present-day resale value. Can you still buy a Titan Nebula Jalsa?
The interview’s sell-through statement means readers should not assume Jalsa remains available through ordinary retail. It does not rule out a later resale listing or establish that one exists. The sources cited here do not verify current Titan inventory, an authorized retailer’s stock or a resale seller’s listing. Check directly with Titan or an authorized retailer for any current route to purchase, and treat any third-party offer as a separate resale transaction.

How Jalsa differs from Titan’s earlier tourbillon
The clearest documented distinction is the calibre: Titan names Jalsa’s movement as 7TH2 and calls it the company’s second in-house flying tourbillon, while its annual report’s 141-part specification applies to the earlier 7TH1. The reviewed sources do not provide enough confirmed technical detail to make a deeper performance comparison. Jalsa’s documented identity instead rests on its particular combination of 7TH2, the marble dial painted by S. Shakir Ali, rose gold and red agate, and a ten-watch edition.
