Orient Star lists a 41.0 mm case width, 49.6 mm case height, 14.5 mm thickness and 175 g weight for the black model. Those figures make it possible to assess its proportions on paper, but they cannot establish how it wears. This is a specification-led overview, not a firsthand review: no physical inspection or wear testing is available to support claims about comfort, legibility, bezel action, bracelet quality or diving performance.
What the “1964” in the name means
Orient Star announced the second edition on May 10, 2022. The manufacturer says it combines selected design elements from the Calendar Auto Orient of 1964 with a modern in-house movement; the current watch is a new design, not the same construction as the historical model. Orient Watch USA identifies the intended visual cues as dot indices, visibility-oriented hands, a rotating bezel with an anodized aluminum ring and sharply defined lugs. These are the brand’s descriptions of its design heritage, rather than an independent historical assessment. Orient Star’s launch announcement and Orient Watch USA’s overview provide the manufacturer’s framing.
RE-AU0601B vs. RE-AU0602E
The two references differ in dial treatment: one is black and the other green gradation. Orient Star publishes the same core dimensions and movement specifications for both. The choice is therefore primarily about the look you prefer; the available specifications do not establish that one has a functional advantage over the other.
| Reference | Dial | Published case dimensions | Movement |
|---|---|---|---|
| RE-AU0601B | Black | 41.0 mm wide × 49.6 mm high × 14.5 mm thick | F6N47 automatic, with hand-winding |
| RE-AU0602E | Green gradation | 41.0 mm wide × 49.6 mm high × 14.5 mm thick | F6N47 automatic, with hand-winding |
These are manufacturer-published specifications. See the official pages for RE-AU0601B and RE-AU0602E.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Movement, reserve and stated accuracy
Both variants use Orient Star’s F6N47 mechanical caliber. The brand specifies automatic winding and hand-winding, a power reserve of more than 50 hours, and a date and power-reserve indicator. Orient Star publishes an accuracy range of +25 to -15 seconds per day. That range is the manufacturer’s stated tolerance, not a measurement of an individual watch; actual performance for a particular example is not established by the specification page.
Dimensions and the question of fit
The manufacturer lists 41.0 mm case width, 49.6 mm case height, 14.5 mm thickness and 175 g weight for RE-AU0601B. The green variant’s official page gives the same core dimensions. The height figure is especially useful alongside width: a watch’s case can span more of the wrist than its width alone suggests, while thickness and weight also affect how substantial it may feel. These measurements cannot determine fit for a particular wrist, and no wear test is available here. The stated strap width is 20 mm.

Orient Star lists a stainless-steel bracelet and an additional silicone strap as included. A 20 mm strap width alone does not guarantee that a generic replacement strap will fit properly; check the end links, taper, buckle and reference-specific compatibility before buying an alternative.
Materials, crystal and diver specifications
Orient Star specifies a SUS316L stainless-steel case and bezel, a dual-curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a rotating bezel, screw-down crown and screw caseback. Its product pages state magnetic resistance to JIS Type 1 and scuba-diver water resistance of 200 m. The 2022 launch announcement also described compliance with ISO 6425. These are manufacturer claims; they do not constitute independent certification or a real-world dive test documented here. A water-resistance rating is not a substitute for checking the condition of a specific watch, crown and seals before use.

What a hands-on review can—and cannot—say
The published specifications support a clear account of materials, dimensions, movement and stated water resistance. They do not establish how the hands and indices read in varied lighting, how the bezel feels, whether the bracelet articulates comfortably, or how the watch performs on the wrist. Those are experiential judgments that require inspection and use of an actual example. Until such observations are documented, treat the figures above as a basis for comparison rather than a verdict on ownership or diving suitability.
