What is the Panerai PAM01460?
PAM01460 is the reference for Panerai’s 40 mm ceramic Luminor GMT, officially named “Luminor GMT.” The black sun-brushed sandwich dial has white Super-LumiNova Arabic numerals and hour markers, a date display at 3 o’clock and small seconds at 9 o’clock. Its micro-sandblasted and polished ceramic bezel frames the dial; the screw-down caseback combines smoked sapphire crystal with DLC titanium. Panerai’s product page lists these specifications.
The central 12-hour GMT hand is the feature behind the “BiTempo” description in WatchTime’s launch coverage. WatchTime also described the PAM01460 as the first 40 mm Luminor case in ceramic; Panerai’s October 30, 2025 release made the same first-in-the-line claim. These are launch claims attributed to the brand and coverage, rather than independently audited industry history. WatchTime’s November 4, 2025 report and Panerai’s release carried by Newswire Korea provide that context.
Movement and GMT functions
Panerai specifies an automatic mechanical P.900/GMT calibre measuring 12½ lignes and 5.2 mm thick. Its published technical details include 23 jewels, 28,800 alternations per hour, an Incabloc anti-shock device, one barrel and 171 components. The stated power reserve is three days.

The listed functions are hours, minutes, small seconds, date and GMT12H. The GMT hand indicates a second time zone on a 12-hour scale; the manufacturer’s listed function set does not describe an independently adjustable 24-hour hand. WatchTime additionally reports that the calibre was engineered within Panerai’s Manufacture in Neuchâtel and has a stop-second mechanism. Those details are from the launch report, while Panerai’s product page confirms the calibre and core specifications.
Water resistance: what 30 bar means
Panerai rates the PAM01460 to 30 bar, approximately 300 metres. This is the manufacturer’s published rating, not an independent test result or a blanket guarantee that every water activity is suitable. Consider the watch’s condition, crown and caseback integrity, and the demands of the activity; ask Panerai or an authorized service provider for guidance where needed.

Straps and fit
Panerai lists two straps with the watch: black calf with white stitching and black caoutchouc (rubber). Both are 22/20 mm and use the PAM Click Release System. The listed buckle is a 20 mm trapezoidal, micro-sandblasted PVD titanium buckle. Panerai says a secondary strap is included; its page describes a drawer or tray for the second strap and strap-changing tools where applicable, so tool inclusion should be confirmed for the individual configuration.
When considering a replacement, check both the 22/20 mm sizing and exact reference compatibility with the PAM Click Release attachment. Matching width by itself does not establish that a third-party strap will connect correctly. The accessed US page lists several 22/20 mm rubber options at $280 excluding sales tax, including black (MXE0JLP4), white (MXE0QK3V), orange (MXE0QK3H), green (MXE0JLNM) and dark blue (MXE0JLNN). These are changeable accessory prices, not the price of the watch.

Price and availability
WatchTime reported a launch price of $15,800 excluding sales tax in November 2025. Treat that as a dated launch figure, not a current quote. Panerai’s US page accessed in 2026 directs visitors to call, contact Concierge or find a boutique, but gives no numeric current watch price. The brand’s October 30, 2025 release said the model could then be found at selected boutiques; that historical statement does not establish present stock.
