Panerai introduced it in 2023 as an online-exclusive limited edition of 300, drawing on design elements of its 1935 Radiomir prototype. Its catalogue specifications include a three-day power reserve and 10 bar water resistance; the original strap, however, is suede rather than an aquatic-use option.
What is the Panerai PAM01385?
PAM01385 is a Radiomir Officine model. Panerai describes the watch as a tribute to elements of the 1935 Radiomir prototype. The brand says Radiomir was patented in 1916 and that an archival receipt records the prototype’s presentation in 1935; those historical details are Panerai’s account.
The model’s design is restrained: its brown dial has numerals and indexes at 12 and 6, small seconds, and a reduced “RADIOMIR PANERAI” signature without the collection’s OP logo. The beige Super-LumiNova is described by Panerai as glowing green in darkness.

Is the original strap suitable for swimming?
The catalogue’s 10 bar rating applies to the watch, but it does not make the supplied suede strap suitable for swimming. Fratello specifically cautions that the strap is not an ideal choice for aquatic activity. If considering an alternate strap, Fratello reports the original at 27 mm; verify both width and wire-lug compatibility for the specific replacement before ordering.
