Xiaomi brought the standard Redmi Watch 5 to Brazil on March 18, 2025, with a suggested launch price of R$1,399.99. Its headline features are a 2.07-inch AMOLED display, built-in multi-system GNSS, Bluetooth calling and a battery rated by Xiaomi for up to 24 days of typical use. That price and availability refer to the launch period, not a guaranteed current offer.
Brazil launch: price, colors and where it was sold
The Redmi Watch 5 was already available to buy when Xiaomi announced its Brazilian arrival on March 18, 2025. Launch coverage reported a suggested price of R$1,399.99 and a cash-payment price of about R$1,287.99 through the official store. Those are historical launch figures; stock and prices can change. 33Giga’s launch report and Mobile Bit’s coverage reported the pricing.
Xiaomi announced silver and black for Brazil at launch. The watch was offered through Xiaomi Brazil’s e-commerce operation, official stores and kiosks, and partner retailers, according to SEGS. Xiaomi’s broader product page shows other color options, but that does not establish that they were sold locally.
The Brazilian retailer listing later showed R$1,287.99 while also signaling an availability issue. Treat that as a listing snapshot, not a live price or confirmation of stock: Mi Brasil’s listing.

What the standard Redmi Watch 5 offers
The standard Redmi Watch 5 is a large rectangular smartwatch built around a 2.07-inch AMOLED panel. Xiaomi lists a resolution of 432 × 514 pixels, 324 ppi and a refresh rate of up to 60 Hz, which can vary by interface. The company also claims brightness up to 1,500 nits in HBM mode, a 2 mm border and an 82% screen-to-body ratio. The brightness figure is a manufacturer specification, not a guarantee that the display sustains that level in every condition. See Xiaomi Brazil’s product page.
The aluminum-alloy middle frame houses a 550 mAh battery. The watch measures 47.5 × 41.1 × 11.3 mm, excluding the strap and protrusions, and weighs about 33.5 g without the strap. Xiaomi lists HyperOS, Bluetooth 5.3, 164 MB of available local storage, and compatibility with Android 8.0 or later and iOS 12.0 or later through the Mi Fitness app. Its Brazilian specifications are listed at Xiaomi’s specifications page.

Battery life: a long claim with conditions
Xiaomi rates the Redmi Watch 5 for up to 24 days of typical use and says that is a 20% improvement over the Redmi Watch 4. The company says its battery figures come from internal laboratory testing and that actual results vary. The 24-day figure should not be treated as a likely result for every user, especially with frequent GPS sessions, Bluetooth calls or continuous health monitoring.
- Frequent GNSS tracking and Bluetooth calls can increase power use.
- Heart-rate and blood-oxygen monitoring, screen brightness, wake behavior, notifications and vibration settings also affect endurance.
- Music playback and recording can add to battery use.
GPS, workouts and health tracking
Integrated GNSS supports GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou and QZSS. That allows the watch to record outdoor positioning without carrying a phone solely to supply GPS. It does not make the watch a phone replacement: calls, notifications and synchronization rely on a Bluetooth connection to a phone.

Xiaomi lists more than 150 sports modes, along with heart-rate, blood-oxygen, sleep and stress tracking, plus breathing exercises and vitality-related metrics. The company says its internal comparison with the Redmi Watch 4 found 5.2% improved heart-rate accuracy and 10% improved sleep-recognition accuracy. These are Xiaomi’s own comparison claims, not independent clinical validation. The company says the watch is not designed to diagnose, prevent, predict or cure disease; its measurements are wellness features, not medical advice or a substitute for medical equipment.
Bluetooth calls, music and connected features
The watch has a speaker and dual microphones for Bluetooth phone calls, including wind-noise reduction. Xiaomi describes directional sound pickup at up to 80 cm. Calls require a paired phone nearby; this is not cellular or standalone LTE calling. Xiaomi also notes that third-party app voice calls are not supported.

Xiaomi says music can be transferred to the watch from an Android phone and played through connected headphones. With 164 MB of available local storage, this is a limited on-device music function, not evidence of a streaming service or cellular music access. Xiaomi’s cited instructions specify Android for music transfer.
Xiaomi Brazil’s specifications list Bluetooth 5.3 but do not list Wi-Fi, eSIM or cellular connectivity. NFC is also not listed, so contactless payments should not be assumed. The local product information does not establish a broad third-party smartwatch app ecosystem.

Water resistance and what comes in the box
The Redmi Watch 5 is rated 5 ATM. Xiaomi describes this rating as suitable for specified water sports and resistance associated with 50 meters under defined conditions; it is not a blanket guarantee for scuba diving, hot tubs, high-pressure jets or every water exposure. Follow Xiaomi’s water-use guidance rather than treating the watch as unrestrictedly waterproof.
Xiaomi lists the watch, a magnetic charging cable and a user manual with warranty notice in the box.
Do not confuse it with the Redmi Watch 5 Active
The Redmi Watch 5 and Redmi Watch 5 Active are separate products. The standard Watch 5 discussed here has an AMOLED display and integrated multi-system GNSS; Active listings should not be used to infer the standard model’s screen, GPS or build. The Active is a distinct, more basic model, as shown by Mi Brasil’s separate listing.
Who should consider the Redmi Watch 5?
Its clearest appeal is the combination of a large AMOLED display, built-in GNSS, broad workout tracking, Bluetooth phone calls and a long manufacturer-rated battery life. It can suit someone who wants a prominent screen and outdoor activity tracking without charging every day, and it works with Android and iPhone through Mi Fitness.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIt is a weaker choice for buyers who need independent LTE calls, mobile payments, Wi-Fi, a deep third-party app library or advanced training analysis. Whether it is good value depends on the price and availability now; the 2025 launch price alone cannot establish that.
