Rogers is not giving away the device. The current offer makes the eligible smartwatch or tablet service plan effectively $0 for 24 months through monthly bill credits when you finance an eligible device and add the line to an eligible Ultimate mobile plan. You still repay the hardware, applicable taxes and any purchase or shipping charges.
What Rogers’ free-plan offer covers
Rogers describes two separate parts of the transaction: device financing and wireless service. Approved customers finance the smartwatch or tablet at 0% interest in 24 equal monthly payments. The promotional credit applies to the service plan, not to the device balance.
- Tablet: Rogers lists a $15 monthly tablet-plan credit for 24 months. Its tablet page currently lists the tablet plan at $20 per month before that credit.
- Smartwatch: Rogers presents the qualifying plan as $0 per month for 24 months. Its listed regular rates are $10 per month for companion mode and $15 per month for standalone mode.
- After 24 months: The promotional credit ends, and the regular plan fee applies. Rogers says rates may change.
Rogers’ product pages also say the device is yours to keep after 24 equal monthly payments.

Eligibility and how to activate the credit
The offer is described for customers with an eligible postpaid plan, approved credit and a qualifying Ultimate mobile plan. Rogers says the credit can be associated with activating a new line, changing a price plan or completing a hardware upgrade, subject to the device and plan conditions shown at checkout.
- Choose an eligible smartwatch or tablet and confirm the cellular version and financing price.
- Select an eligible Ultimate mobile plan and the required smartwatch or tablet line.
- Review the checkout summary to confirm the 24-month service credit, device payment, taxes and any setup or shipping charge.
- Complete the financing agreement on approved credit and keep the line on an eligible plan for the full promotional period.
Rogers’ financing FAQ says financing is available for $0 down on approved credit. Approval, eligible models and plan requirements can vary, so the checkout disclosure is the controlling offer for your account.

What happens if you cancel or downgrade
This is a 24-month commitment even though the service line displays as free during the promotional period. Rogers says remaining promotional credits are lost if you cancel the service or downgrade to an ineligible plan. Its tablet financing terms also state that the outstanding device balance becomes due when the financing agreement or eligible additional line ends, or when you move to an ineligible plan.
- Cancel early: expect the remaining device balance and loss of future service credits.
- Downgrade: an ineligible plan can stop the credits and trigger the outstanding financing balance under the agreement.
- Keep the line eligible: credits continue only while the stated device, line and Ultimate-plan conditions remain satisfied.

Rogers’ smartwatch page lists Apple Watch SE 3, Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch Series 11, Google Pixel Watch 5 and Samsung Galaxy Watch models. Availability, storage, colors and financing prices are model-specific.
Tablets
Rogers’ tablet page lists Apple iPad Air 13-inch (M4), Apple iPad Air 11-inch (M4), iPad Pro models, iPad (A16) and TCL Tab 8 NXTPAPER 5G. Confirm the cellular configuration before ordering; Wi-Fi-only hardware does not provide a Rogers cellular line.

Before you accept the offer
- Write down the device’s full retail price, financed taxes and 24-payment amount.
- Check whether the displayed $0 is a monthly service credit and when it expires.
- Confirm the exact Ultimate plan required and whether your current plan qualifies.
- Include the $40 assisted setup charge or $25 self-serve shipping charge where applicable.
- Calculate the amount you would owe if you cancelled or changed plans after six, 12 or 18 months.
- Save the checkout summary and financing agreement showing the credit conditions.
The Bottom Line
Rogers’ promotion can make the smartwatch or tablet service plan free for 24 months, but the financed device is not free. Budget for 24 hardware payments, taxes and possible purchase charges, then expect the regular plan price after the credits end. Leaving early can remove the remaining credits and make the unpaid device balance due.
