What to expect from the 4R35 movement
Seiko’s 4R35 manual specifies 21,600 vibrations per hour, approximately 41 hours of running time and 23 jewels. The calibre winds automatically and also supports manual winding. It includes a date display.
The manual gives a factory-adjusted daily rate of +45 to −35 seconds under its stated normal-temperature and wrist-worn conditions. This is a specification for the movement, not a measured result for an individual SRPL96J. Seiko cautions that actual rate varies with factors including how long the watch is worn, temperature, arm movement and the state of winding.

Seiko Australia announced the Conte in September 2025 as an Australasian edition limited to 1,000 pieces, with an AUD 950 launch RRP. Time+Tide describes the run as individually numbered and reports Australia/New Zealand exclusivity; a retailer also calls it an Australasian exclusive. Those reports establish the intended regional market, not universal availability or the current number of unsold watches.

How it compares with another Cocktail Time
Seiko Australia’s official SRPK46 page provides a useful same-collection reference point. It lists the same 4R35 calibre and the same reported case dimensions as the SRPL96J: 40.5 mm diameter, 11.8 mm thickness, 47.5 mm lug-to-lug and 20 mm lug spacing. It also specifies a box-shaped Hardlex crystal and 5 bar water resistance. This is a specification comparison, not evidence that the two watches share a price or limited-edition status.
- Design: The Conte’s Negroni-red dial and rose-gold-colored case are its distinguishing treatment; compare them with the particular SRPK46 dial and case in the listing you are considering.
