The SRPE35K1 is the black-dial version on a stainless-steel bracelet; the SRPE37K1 is the white-dial version on a black silicone strap. Both are listed with a 200 m-class water-resistance rating, though Seiko states it differently by market.

Specifications are regional: the SRPE35K1 details above come from Seiko Boutique UK’s SRPE35K1 PDF, while the SRPE37K1 is identified by Seiko USA as SRPE37 and shown with that full reference on its product listing. Seiko’s SRPE37 specification page gives its detailed movement, size and water-resistance data.
Which model should you choose?
Choose the SRPE35K1 for a black dial and metal bracelet
The SRPE35K1 pairs a black dial with a stainless-steel bracelet. That is the key visual distinction if you want a darker, more traditional-looking configuration or prefer a metal bracelet from the outset. Seiko’s UK specification sheet lists its 22 mm lug width, so a different strap is an option in principle; check end-link fit and compatibility with the exact reference before buying one.
Choose the SRPE37K1 for a white dial and silicone strap
The SRPE37K1 has a white dial with a pressed 3-D pattern and a black silicone strap. Seiko USA also describes a magnified date, screwdown crown and caseback, and a black ceramic one-way bezel. These details give it a higher-contrast appearance than the black-dial bracelet configuration.

Movement and everyday specifications
Both references use Seiko’s 4R35 automatic movement. Seiko lists an approximately 41-hour power reserve for the SRPE37 and the UK SRPE35K1 sheet states 41 hours. The SRPE37 specification additionally names 23 jewels, a date display, stop-seconds, and automatic winding with manual winding capability. These are published specifications, not independent accuracy or performance test results.
Both cases measure 43.8 mm across and 12.8 mm thick. Seiko gives the length or lug-to-lug measurement as 48.7 mm and the lug width as 22 mm. Those dimensions describe a substantial watch; they can help narrow down wrist-fit expectations, but they do not determine how a watch will feel on a particular wrist. Seiko Boutique Malaysia separately lists the SRPE35K1 at 205 g, which is regional catalog data rather than a universal weight figure.

Water resistance, crystal and bezel
Seiko USA rates the SRPE37 at 200 m / 660 ft diver’s water resistance. Seiko Boutique UK lists 20 bar for the SRPE35K1. These are the exact regional statements available for the two references; a rating alone should not be read as a guarantee that either watch suits every kind of diving or use condition.
Both are specified with sapphire crystals and inner anti-reflective coating. Seiko USA explicitly calls the SRPE37’s bezel ceramic and one-way. The UK SRPE35K1 sheet specifies a unidirectional bezel but does not identify its material; Fratello’s 2020 specialist overview describes the King Samurai upgrades as including a ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal with a cyclops. For the SRPE35K1 bezel material, that is specialist reporting rather than a material statement in the cited UK Seiko sheet.

Prices and checking a listing
The UK sheet gives the SRPE35K1 an RRP of £560 including VAT; Seiko USA displayed $625 for the SRPE37 when retrieved. The figures apply to different markets and references and are not a like-for-like price comparison. Prices, stock and regional model naming can change, so match the reference and configuration on the seller’s listing before purchase.
- Look for SRPE35K1 if you want the black dial and stainless-steel bracelet.
- Look for SRPE37 or SRPE37K1 if you want the white dial and black silicone strap; Seiko USA’s official pages use both forms of the reference.
- Confirm the seller’s images and specifications match the dial, strap and reference number you intend to buy.
