Its 49.5 mm lug-to-lug length and 12.3 mm thickness are useful fit measurements to weigh alongside its ocean-inspired design.
What is the Seiko Prospex SRPL53 PADI Special Edition?
Seiko identifies the SRPL53 as a Prospex Sea PADI Special Edition. Its emerald-green gradient dial is described in Seiko/ShopSeiko product copy as inspired by shimmering light and rippling water seen from underwater. The watch pairs that dial with a unidirectional rotating bezel, a stainless-steel case and bracelet, and a date display.

How to interpret its 200 m water-resistance claim
ShopSeiko says the SRPL53 follows ISO standards for scuba diving. The available product information does not identify the standard’s edition or provide an independent certification document, so that wording should not be read as evidence of a separately documented certification. The watch is listed with 200 m / 660 ft diver’s water resistance; follow Seiko’s care and use guidance for the specific watch rather than treating the depth figure as a guarantee for every underwater activity or condition.
Fit and strap considerations
The 41.7 mm case diameter gives only part of the fit picture: at 49.5 mm lug-to-lug, its reach across the wrist may matter especially to buyers with smaller wrists. Its 12.3 mm thickness and 20 mm lug width round out the key dimensions to compare with a watch that already fits comfortably.
