The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Porsche Edition was a 2022, 45-mm Wear OS smartwatch built around a specific Porsche-owner benefit: vehicle information on the wrist and a shortcut to adjust cabin climate. It is not a new release today; TAG Heuer’s U.S. page marks reference SBR8A82.EB0264 as discontinued. Its Porsche features also depend on a compatible car, Porsche ID, Porsche Connect and supported apps.
What was the TAG Heuer Connected Porsche Edition?
Reference SBR8A82.EB0264 joined TAG Heuer’s Connected Calibre E4 range in 2022, as part of the brands’ broader partnership. It combined the E4 smartwatch platform with Porsche-specific styling, a dedicated watch face and My Porsche integration. This is a connected watch with a Porsche identity, not a mechanical chronograph. TAG Heuer’s launch announcement describes the Taycan as an influence on its design.
Its appeal therefore rests on two things: the luxury-watch presentation and whether the wearer can use the connected-car features. Without an eligible Porsche and the required services, the distinctive integration is largely beside the point.
How does it look and wear?
The watch has a 45-mm black titanium case, a polished black ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal. Frozen-blue accents reference the Taycan: the crown and pushers are blue, and the black carbon-effect leather strap has blue stitching and a rubber base. The bezel’s scale runs from 0 to 400, while the dedicated “Circuit” face uses circuit-board and racetrack imagery. Chronograph-style controls give the touchscreen watch a more motorsport-oriented appearance.

At 45 mm and 15.3 mm thick, it is a substantial watch. That can suit the sporty design, but may overwhelm smaller wrists or sit awkwardly under a close-fitting cuff. TAG Heuer lists 50-metre water resistance; that rating should not be treated as a blanket assurance for every water activity.
What Porsche information and controls are on the watch?
The My Porsche Wear OS app provides selected vehicle information and a climate-control route. These are app-mediated connected services, not a universal remote control for the car.
- Battery or fuel status: A complication can show the vehicle’s remaining energy. Porsche says the battery complication also applies to electric and hybrid models.
- Remaining range: The watch can show the distance available before the battery or fuel is depleted.
- Mileage: A complication can display the vehicle’s total mileage.
- Climate control: A shortcut opens the My Porsche app on the watch, where the wearer can raise or lower the car’s temperature, subject to vehicle and market support.
The features and their availability are described by TAG Heuer and Porsche. Neither the feature list nor the model name alone guarantees that every function works with a particular car.

Porsche’s launch announcement gives more granular descriptions for some vehicles, including newer model-year and generation references. Compatibility can vary with model year, country, software and connected-service support. Check the exact vehicle against TAG Heuer’s compatibility information and Porsche’s local service availability before buying; “I own a 911” is not enough to establish eligibility.
What do you need to set up the Porsche integration?
TAG Heuer’s support instructions require a compatible Porsche, a Porsche ID, an active Porsche Connect subscription, the My Porsche phone app and the My Porsche Wear OS app on the watch. The watch and phone apps must be supported and up to date, and the relevant connected services must be available in the user’s market.

- Pair and configure the watch with the TAG Heuer Connected companion app, then connect the Google account needed for Wear OS services.
- Update the watch’s applications through the Play Store.
- Select the “Circuit” face or a Porsche complication. If prompted, install the My Porsche Wear OS app.
- Install or update My Porsche on the phone and sign in with the Porsche ID associated with the car.
- Confirm Porsche Connect is active, then link the watch and phone to the compatible vehicle account.
- Add the battery, range, mileage or climate-control complication you want to the watch face.
If vehicle data does not appear, check the car’s exact generation and market support, the Porsche Connect subscription, account sign-ins, vehicle association, network connection and app versions. A compatible model by itself does not ensure that every function is available.
What else can the Calibre E4 do?
The Porsche Edition retains the broader Connected platform’s watch faces, notifications, sports and wellness tools, GPS activity tracking and heart-rate monitoring. TAG Heuer lists running, cycling, swimming, fitness, golf, wellness and trail-related functions, and says activity data can be exported to Strava. Those capabilities make it usable without a Porsche, but they do not change the main trade-off: buyers without a compatible car lose the feature set that most distinguishes this edition.

Launch-era technical coverage reported a 1.39-inch AMOLED display at 454 × 454 pixels, a 440 mAh battery and an ARM Cortex A53 processor. It also listed GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, heart-rate sensor, compass, accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, microphone and ambient-light sensor. These are launch-era specifications, not a promise of future software support. The operating system at launch was Google Wear OS.

What is battery life like?
TAG Heuer describes the 45-mm model as offering all-day battery life with continuous wellness monitoring and up to 30% more battery life than previous generations. That is the manufacturer’s claim, not a guaranteed runtime: GPS, screen brightness, notifications, monitoring and app use affect endurance. Launch-era coverage described a full charge taking roughly 90 minutes.
In practical terms, this has the charging routine of a smartwatch, not the set-and-forget ownership pattern of a mechanical watch. The company’s current product page should be consulted for any present-day software or service details; a discontinued device’s future app compatibility is not established by its original launch specifications.
What did it cost, and is it still available?
The reported 2022 launch prices were $2,750 in the United States and A$4,000 in Australia. These are historical launch-market figures, not current prices. TAG Heuer’s U.S. page for reference SBR8A82.EB0264 now labels it discontinued. The page displayed $1,650 as of August 18, 2026; that listing is not evidence of normal current production or a dependable market price.
Any remaining stock or pre-owned listing is a separate transaction. For a used example, verify the reference, charger, strap condition, account-reset status and battery condition where possible. A listing alone does not establish seller authorization, warranty coverage or future Porsche-app support. TAG Heuer’s official product page is the place to check its current status.
Who is it for?
The strongest fit is a Porsche owner whose exact car and market are supported, who already has or is willing to maintain Porsche Connect, and who wants vehicle data and climate access on a luxury smartwatch. The frozen-blue design, premium materials and Porsche-specific face add appeal for someone who values the partnership as much as the functions.
It is a weaker choice for someone seeking the best general-purpose smartwatch or fitness value, a smaller case, long endurance between charges, or a traditional watch without software dependencies. Non-Porsche owners can use its general smartwatch functions, but pay for an edition whose central connected-car benefit they cannot use. Buyers prioritizing a current TAG Heuer support ecosystem can look at the brand’s current Connected range; Apple Watch, Garmin and Samsung Galaxy Watch offer different mainstream priorities, not the Porsche Edition’s materials or car integration.
