TAG Heuer’s Formula 1 collection now includes Solargraph-powered models, a first for the lineup, alongside design cues that pay homage to the original 1986 collection. Its April 2025 brochure describes nine distinct models, but that does not establish that all nine launched at the same time or that the range remains unchanged today.
What is new about the Formula 1 Solargraph?
The key change is the addition of the TH50-00 Solar Quartz movement, which TAG Heuer says is powered by natural or artificial light. The collection also brings together bold dial, bezel and case combinations, including sandblasted steel cases with DLC treatment and cases made from TH-Polylight. TAG Heuer frames the designs as racing-inspired and as a tribute to the 1986 Formula 1 collection.
The brand’s April 2025 brochure describes nine distinct models and calls Solargraph a first for the Formula 1 lineup. That is a count for the brochure’s collection, not proof of a single nine-watch launch or a complete current catalog.
What does the Solargraph movement do?
Solargraph is quartz timekeeping powered by light rather than a conventional replaceable-battery routine. TAG Heuer says the TH50-00 accepts both natural and artificial light. According to the brand’s specifications, a full charge provides up to 10 months of autonomy, brief light exposure can provide a full day of operation, and battery life is up to 15 years. These are manufacturer figures, not independently tested results.

The cited blue-dial model has hours, minutes, seconds and date functions. For exact specifications, check the page for the reference being considered; details such as dimensions and water resistance are not established for every model by the examples below.

A further regional example
The UK product page for WBY111E.BA0042 confirms a 38 mm steel case and bracelet, white opaline dial and green TH-Polylight bezel. Its UK page states up to 10 months’ autonomy and up to 15 years’ battery life. Availability and product status can differ by market and change over time, so consult the regional page for current status rather than assuming a listed reference is available everywhere.

Start with the reference number, then compare materials and fit rather than treating “nine colourways” as nine interchangeable versions of one construction. The confirmed examples show that color, case material and strap or bracelet vary. Check the specific regional product page for dimensions, water resistance, limited-edition status and availability; specifications from one reference should not be carried over to another without confirmation.
