TCL’s RayNeo Air 3s video glasses project a virtual display that RayNeo describes as equivalent to a 201-inch screen. That is a simulated viewing size, not a physical panel: the glasses act as an external display for a compatible phone, computer or other video source, rather than as a standalone augmented-reality computer. The first buying check is whether your source can send video over USB-C DisplayPort.
What the RayNeo Air 3s are—and what “201-inch” means
TCL Electronics’ 2025 annual report describes RayNeo as a business incubated within the group and records the launch of the Air 3s series. RayNeo presents the Air 3s as video display glasses: they show content from a connected device, rather than functioning as a standalone computer or fully interactive augmented-reality headset. The “201-inch” figure is a virtual-screen scale, not the size of a panel mounted in the glasses. An independent TechRadar review of the Air 3s Pro—a different model—explains the number as a simulated screen at a stated viewing distance. What RayNeo says the glasses deliver
RayNeo lists 1080p resolution, a gaming mode of up to 120 Hz, 650-nit brightness, a 46-degree field of view and a weight of 76 g. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured results in the sources cited here. The product page also claims 3840 Hz hybrid dimming and TÜV certifications; those claims alone do not establish a clinical reduction in eye strain.

Check video compatibility before buying
A USB-C connector by itself does not mean a device can output video. RayNeo specifies USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode for a direct connection and advises buyers to check the device’s specifications or ask its manufacturer. Its Air 3s FAQ puts the key question plainly: “Please check your device’s specifications or manufacturer information to ensure it supports DisplayPort (DP) via USB-C and how to enable it.” Read the RayNeo Air 3s FAQ and check the exact phone, tablet, computer or other source you plan to use.

- Identify your video source. Confirm the exact model, not just that it has a USB-C port.
- Look for DisplayPort video output. Check the manufacturer’s specifications for USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode or DP video support. If the information is unclear, ask the device maker whether it supports video over USB-C and whether a setting must be enabled.
- Confirm any adapter route. RayNeo discusses an HDMI-to-USB-C adapter for devices that need an HDMI connection. Adapter suitability depends on the particular source and signal path; verify both against RayNeo’s guidance before purchasing.
RayNeo says the glasses and its official accessories support HDCP for licensed streaming content. That is not a guarantee that every app, device, adapter combination or regional service has been tested or will work; check the requirements for your intended setup with the relevant providers.

Before choosing display glasses, consider whether you want a simple external screen or interactive augmented-reality functions, and assess resolution, refresh rate, brightness, field of view, fit and prescription needs together.
