Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026 has concluded, so these are predictions made before the event—not a confirmed list of launches. In a T3 forecast published on 12 April 2026, Bethan Morgan, Sam Cross and Alistair Charlton considered possible Rolex changes, anniversary releases from Tudor and Patek Philippe, and broader design and complication trends. The event ran from 14 to 20 April; its official page lists 65 participating brands.
What was expected at Watches and Wonders 2026?
The T3 contributors’ forecast covered four kinds of possibility: a potential Rolex discontinuation or replacement, anniversary-related releases, complications and watch formats, and case-shape trends. The suggestions below were predictions, wishes or speculation—not official announcements. The available sources do not establish which, if any, came true.
Will Rolex discontinue the Pepsi GMT?
Sam Cross called predicting Rolex “a real guessing game.” Bethan Morgan and Alistair Charlton both raised the possibility that Rolex might discontinue the red-and-blue “Pepsi” GMT-Master II. They pointed to speculation around the model and reports that it had disappeared from authorized dealers; neither point confirms a discontinuation.
Charlton speculated that a black-and-red “Coke” version might take its place. He also hoped Rolex might offer new case materials or dial colours for the Land-Dweller, introduce pastel Oyster Perpetual dials, or revive the Milgauss. The Milgauss would mark its 70th anniversary in 2026, but the anniversary alone was not evidence of a planned release.

What might Tudor release for its 100th anniversary?
Tudor marked its centenary in 2026, and Cross expected the brand to recognise the occasion. Morgan wanted to see brighter dial colours. Cross also hoped for a modern interpretation of the Oysterdate Monte Carlo.
Cross mentioned a rumour about a Tudor watch resembling Rolex’s “Batman” GMT. That was speculation, not a confirmed product or indication of Tudor’s plans.

Will Patek Philippe celebrate 50 years of the Nautilus?
Alistair Charlton pointed to the Nautilus’s 50th anniversary and hoped Patek Philippe might mark it with a new metal, dial colour, complication or movement. The forecast did not cite official confirmation of an anniversary release, so these remain possibilities Charlton wanted to see rather than announced plans.
Which complications and formats were predicted?
More perpetual calendars and pocket watches
Sam Cross expected more perpetual calendars and pocket watches, following what he saw as a strong emphasis on perpetual calendars in 2025. This was his expectation for the event, not a count of confirmed 2026 releases.

A moonphase for the Rolex 1908
Charlton hoped Rolex would add a moonphase to the 1908. Morgan’s broader wish was for moonphase displays that are easier to use. Neither comment confirms a planned watch or a specific design.
Tourbillons and jumping hours
Morgan also noted that independent and smaller brands were adopting tourbillons and jumping-hour displays. Her observation formed part of the forecast; it was not a quantified measure of the industry or a prediction tied to a particular launch.

Were square and rounded-square watches expected to grow?
Morgan expected to see more square and rounded-square cases, linking the shape to vintage-inspired and architectural designs and to smaller watch sizes. She named TAG Heuer, Hublot and Jaeger-LeCoultre as brands to watch. This was her reading of a possible design direction, not a measured industry trend.

Before the event, the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation had projected nearly 60,000 visitors. Its 9 April release also estimated 1,700 journalists, more than 6,000 retailers and around 50,000 overnight stays already reserved; those were forecasts, not final totals. The Foundation’s earlier announcement planned for 66 exhibitors, but the event-period page’s final count is 65.
For context, Foundation CEO Matthieu Humair described the event as a place that “brings people together, inspires and guides the industry” in a 9 April 2026 press release. That statement captures the event’s stated role; it does not verify any brand-specific forecast.
