Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025 was held from 1 to 7 April 2025 at Palexpo and across Geneva. The first four days served watch-industry professionals; the public could attend from Saturday 5 April through Monday 7 April. Sixty brands exhibited, and the organizer later reported record attendance of more than 55,000 visitors.
What was Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025?
Watches and Wonders Geneva is a major Swiss watchmaking salon where participating maisons and independent watchmakers present new releases, flagship collections and technical work to retailers, journalists, collectors and the public. The 2025 edition brought together 60 exhibiting brands, including established names and six new independent brands.
The show combined commercial launches with education and experimentation. Alongside brand presentations, visitors could explore the LAB innovation area, attend conferences and guided tours, and see an exhibition built around the Greenwich Meridian.
When was the 2025 event?
The Geneva salon ran from Tuesday 1 April through Monday 7 April 2025.

This article concerns the 2025 edition, not the separate Watches and Wonders Geneva events listed for later years.
Which brands exhibited?
The official exhibitor presentation included both prestigious maisons and independent watchmakers. Named examples included:

- Christiaan van der Klaauw
- Genus
- Kross Studio
- MeisterSinger
- Armin Strom
- HYT
The 60-brand roster also included six independent brands making their debut at the salon. The event-level information does not establish a complete model-by-model launch list; exact specifications and release details belong to each brand’s own press materials.
Could the public attend Watches and Wonders?
Yes. Public access was available during the final three days, 5–7 April 2025. Public programming extended beyond ordinary booth visits.

In The City in central Geneva
The organizer’s city program included free events, workshops, guided tours, conferences, panel discussions, boutique events, a Watchmaking Village and SwissSkills 2025 qualifications. These activities positioned the salon as an educational and cultural event as well as a sales and launch venue.

These are organizer-reported totals and estimates, rather than an independent attendance audit. Retailer participation and meeting volumes show the salon’s trade function, while the growth in public tickets indicates strong consumer and collector interest.
What watch trends stood out?
The organizer’s post-event assessment identified several recurring directions. They are useful as comparison lenses rather than a claim that every 2025 release followed the same formula.

Smaller cases and everyday wearability
Brands emphasized smaller case sizes, responding to demand for watches that sit more discreetly on the wrist. Case diameter alone does not determine comfort: thickness, lug length, bracelet or strap design and movement architecture also matter when comparing a mechanical watch.
Dial color and surface texture
Dial treatments became a major way to differentiate otherwise familiar shapes. Color, grain, brushing, guilloché-like effects and other textures gave collections visual identity without requiring a completely new case design.
More visible mechanics
Skeleton and open-worked watches were prominent in the show’s trend assessment. By exposing bridges, wheels or other movement components, these designs make mechanical construction part of the display. Traditional closed dials remained important for buyers who prioritize legibility and a quieter appearance.
Jewelry watches and women’s collections
Women’s watches, particularly jewelry watches, received notable attention. The category spans gem-setting and precious-metal execution as well as watches designed around jewelry-like proportions, so “women’s” should not be treated as a single technical or stylistic specification.

Heritage alongside technical premieres
Exhibitors used the salon to revisit historic designs and iconic collections while also presenting technical achievements, including new world records and premieres. That combination linked recognizable brand history with experimentation in movements, materials and construction.

One of the salon’s defining contrasts was the meeting of large, historically established maisons with smaller independent creators. A maison may offer a broad collection, mature service network and recognizable design language. An independent brand may concentrate on a narrower concept, unusual architecture or highly specialized finishing. Neither category automatically determines quality; compare the movement, case dimensions, service arrangements, production scale and long-term support of the specific watch.
Why the salon matters beyond launches
Watches and Wonders served several audiences at once. Retailers used the event for brand meetings and product planning; journalists and collectors assessed new directions; and public visitors encountered watchmaking through demonstrations, talks and guided activities. The LAB, Watchmaking Village and youth programs also made innovation, skills and education part of the event’s purpose.
Cyrille Vigneron, president of the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation, described the salon as both a must-attend inter-professional event and a platform for watchmaking maisons to express themselves.

How to use the 2025 show as a buying guide
Event coverage can reveal broad design directions, but it is not a substitute for checking an individual reference. Before buying a 2025 release, verify:
- Exact reference number and movement specification
- Case diameter, thickness, lug-to-lug length and water resistance
- Whether the stated price and availability apply to your country
- Service interval, warranty terms and authorized-service access
- Whether the watch is a limited edition, a one-time allocation or a continuing collection model
For a mechanical watch, also check winding method, power reserve, regulating or certification claims, and how much of the movement is visible through the dial or caseback. Brand press centers and authorized dealers are the appropriate sources for model-level facts that the event overview does not establish.
