Reference 01 754 7779 4061-07 5 19 25 combines a vintage-linked display with a contemporary sapphire crystal, 5 bar water resistance and a 41-hour stated power reserve.
What makes the Bullseye distinctive?
Oris calls this version “a cool grey and black dial layout that gives the watch its name.” The grey-and-black target-like arrangement is sharpened by red detailing, while the oversized crown and fluted bezel reinforce the Big Crown identity.
The pointer-date hand runs around the outside of the dial instead of using a conventional numbered aperture. Oris says the Big Crown Pointer Date has been in continuous production since 1938, so the Bullseye is a modern execution of a long-running design rather than a new complication for the brand.
Independent 2026 coverage describes the model as a revival of a historic two-tone dial in a 38mm steel case, retaining the pointer-date display.

Case, crystal and wearability
38mm case for smaller wrists
The 38.00mm diameter is moderate by current mechanical-watch standards and should be approachable for many smaller wrists. Actual fit still depends on lug length, wrist shape and personal preference; Oris’s published specifications do not establish a wrist-size limit.
The case is multi-piece stainless steel. A domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating protects the dial, and the screwed see-through mineral-glass back exposes the movement. Water resistance is rated at 5 bar, suitable for everyday splashes but not evidence of dive-watch capability. That rating comes from Oris’s specification, not an independent test.
19mm strap width
The interhorn width is 19mm. Oris lists leather, rubber and textile replacement options, making the strap one of the most practical ways to change the watch’s character. When buying a third-party replacement, select a genuine 19mm watch strap and confirm the seller’s return policy and spring-bar compatibility before fitting it.
Movement and functions
Inside is Oris Calibre 754-1, an automatic movement with a pointer-date hand, instantaneous date, date corrector and stop-second function. The stated power reserve is 41 hours, and the movement operates at 28,800 A/h (4 Hz).

How the Bullseye compares as a buying proposition
The Bullseye’s strongest differentiators are its 38mm sizing, pointer-date execution and unusual grey, black and red dial. The 19mm lug width also gives owners a defined but flexible strap ecosystem. Its 5 bar rating is adequate for normal daily wear, while buyers seeking a higher water-resistance rating will need to consider watches designed specifically for that use.
The movement offers automatic winding, stop-seconds and a 41-hour stated reserve. Those figures are useful for comparing specifications, but they are not independent performance tests. Price comparisons should be made using the buyer’s own region and the same warranty and retailer conditions.
Who should buy the Oris Bullseye?
- Choose it if: you want an independent Swiss mechanical watch with a distinctive, vintage-linked pointer date and a moderate 38mm case.
- Choose it if: you value a dial with stronger visual personality than a conventional three-hand layout and plan to experiment with leather, rubber or textile straps.
- Look elsewhere if: you need a larger power reserve, independently verified accuracy data, a dive-oriented water-resistance rating or a more conventional date display.
