Seiko’s most exclusive and expensive watches include pieces from its luxury brands Grand Seiko and Credor, not only watches bearing the Seiko name. The eight examples below show different kinds of exclusivity: tiny numbered editions, a one-off, and models released exclusively in the United States. They are documented examples, not a definitive ranking of every watch ever made or sold.
Prices are kept in their original currencies and tied to their dates and tax basis. A historical launch price is not a current resale value, and a catalog listing does not by itself confirm that a watch is in stock.
What is the most expensive Seiko watch?
Among these documented examples, the Credor FUGAKU Tourbillon GBCC999 has the highest stated original price: JPY 50,000,000 plus tax, as announced by Seiko Watch Corporation in 2016. That is a historical Japanese recommended retail price, not a current valuation. Grand Seiko’s 2024 U.S. launch price for the Kodo SLGT005 was approximately USD 395,000, while the 2023 U.S. launch price for the SBGD213 was approximately USD 260,000. Because these figures come from different years, currencies, and tax contexts, they should not be treated as a like-for-like price ranking. Grand Seiko’s U.S. Masterpiece Collection page calls the collection “the pinnacle of Grand Seiko” and, when accessed October 4, 2026, listed the SBGD228 at USD 273,000 and the SBGZ011 at USD 84,000. Those are catalog prices, not evidence that either watch is currently available. The page also lists the SBGW325 at USD 5,800 as a limited model with an October 2026 release; as of October 4, the release month had begun, but that listing alone does not establish that the model had launched or was in stock. Eight notable exclusive and expensive models
These entries are selected for documented price, rarity, or both. They are not ranked from most to least expensive: the prices are not all from the same market or year, and one model has no sourced price.
1. Credor FUGAKU Tourbillon GBCC999
Seiko announced a Japanese recommended retail price of JPY 50,000,000 plus tax in 2016 and a production run of just eight watches. The price and edition size are historical. FUGAKU combines a caliber 6830 tourbillon with a case incorporating platinum, white gold, and yellow gold, as well as sapphires. Its creation involved designer Nobuhiro Kosugi, watchmaker Satoshi Hiraga, engraver Kiyoshi Terui, and lacquer artist Isshu Tamura. 2. Grand Seiko Kodo Constant-force Tourbillon SLGT005
Grand Seiko gave an approximate U.S. recommended retail price of USD 395,000 at the model’s April 2024 announcement and limited the edition to 20. The defining mechanism pairs a tourbillon and constant-force mechanism “as one unit on a single axis.” The case combines platinum 950 with Brilliant Hard Titanium. 3. Grand Seiko Spring Drive 8-Day Jewelry Watch SBGD213
Announced in 2023 as an eight-piece limited edition, the SBGD213 had an approximate recommended retail price of USD 260,000. Its platinum 950 case is set with 266 diamonds and 27 blue sapphires. Caliber 9R01 provides an eight-day, or 192-hour, power reserve. The price is the manufacturer’s approximate release figure; the announcement does not establish current availability. 4. Credor Goldfeather Tourbillon engraving model GBCF997
Credor announced this platinum 950 model on April 1, 2026, at JPY 28,600,000 including tax, with 25 pieces worldwide and a scheduled release date of August 7, 2026. Its caliber 6850 has an approximately 60-hour power reserve, and the case measures 38.6 mm across. The announcement and planned release date are documented, but they do not show whether any pieces remain available. Credor’s April 2026 announcement.
5. Grand Seiko Kodo Constant-force Tourbillon SLGT001
Grand Seiko described the 2022 SLGT001 as a “Unique Piece 1/1.” That makes it a clear example of exclusivity by one-off status, distinct from the separately numbered 20-piece SLGT005. The official coverage describes a visit to Japan to meet the creators, but the source cited here gives no price; the SLGT005’s price must not be attributed to this watch. Grand Seiko Kodo coverage.

6. Grand Seiko SBGA385
This U.S.-exclusive platinum PT950 Spring Drive model was limited to 20 pieces. Grand Seiko’s 2018 U.S. launch announcement gave a historical suggested retail price of USD 53,000 and specified caliber 9R15. The price is a launch figure from 2018, not a current market value. 7. Grand Seiko SBGA384

8. Grand Seiko SBGA387
The stainless-steel SBGA387 was a U.S.-exclusive model with a larger run of 558. Grand Seiko’s 2018 U.S. launch suggested retail price was USD 6,800. “Exclusive” does not have one fixed meaning. A one-off such as the SLGT001 differs from an eight-piece numbered edition such as FUGAKU, while the SBGA387 is exclusive by market despite a much larger production run. Price comparisons also need context: these are manufacturer figures from different years, and the JPY amounts have different tax descriptions from the U.S. dollar launch prices.

They do not, by themselves, establish resale value or future appreciation. A manufacturer’s recommended retail price records a stated price at a particular time and place; it is not an independent valuation.
Are these watches available now?
Availability is separate from edition size and launch price. The cited announcements document historical releases for FUGAKU and the 2018 U.S. models, as well as the scheduled 2026 release for GBCF997; they do not verify current stock. The Kodo SLGT001 is identified as a one-off, with no price stated in the cited coverage. For Masterpiece collection listings, consult Grand Seiko’s current U.S. catalog and confirm the individual watch’s release and stock status directly with a Grand Seiko or Credor boutique or authorized retailer.
