What is the Rolex Submariner Date desk clock?
Reference 909010LN is a purpose-built desk clock, not a scaled wristwatch. Rolex describes it as a stainless-steel Submariner desk clock with a Cerachrom bezel insert and Chromalight display, incorporating a secular calendar. Its 80 mm diameter and hemispherical case give it a substantial desktop presence; the base lets the clock be oriented as desired.
What are its design and display features?
Submariner-style case and bezel
The case is stainless steel, with a fixed bezel graduated for 60 minutes and fitted with a scratch-resistant black Cerachrom ceramic insert. The crystal is scratch-resistant mineral glass, with a Cyclops lens over the date. Rolex specifies a black lacquer dial and decorates the case back with Côtes de Genève.
Blue Chromalight display
Rolex describes the Chromalight display as highly legible, with long-lasting blue luminescence. The luminous treatment and dive-watch bezel evoke the Submariner, but they do not indicate water resistance: Rolex’s technical details for this clock say “Not waterproof.” Keep it away from immersion and do not treat it like a dive watch.

How does the calendar and movement work?
Rolex identifies the calendar as secular but does not publish caliber specifications on its product page. In a feature published on December 17, 2025, Fratello’s close look at the 909010LN reports that it uses caliber 8335, described as an ana-digi quartz movement with 30 jewels. The article says pulling the crown activates a small LCD showing the date, month and year, with correctors used to adjust functions.
That account is not a full operating test: Fratello states that the clock it examined had not been activated, so its writer could not witness the caliber running. The published description is useful for understanding the reported controls and display, but it does not establish independent verification of the mechanism in operation.

How much does the Rolex desk clock cost?
Rolex’s US product page listed the 909010LN at $10,930 USD when observed on October 4, 2026. That is a US-specific listed price at that date; Rolex pricing and availability can change. Fratello reported a price of €10,320 in its December 17, 2025 article. The two figures reflect different currencies, dates and geographic contexts, so they are not a like-for-like price comparison.

If considering a secondary-market listing, verify the exact reference, seller identity, condition, included box and papers, and asking price. An online marketplace listing alone does not establish that a seller is authorized by Rolex.
