Apple’s 2025 Pride Collection included a $49 Pride Edition Apple Watch Sport Band announced on May 5, 2025. Its rainbow pattern is individually varied because Apple hand-assembles differently shaped, compression-molded fluoroelastomer stripes. “Unique” means each band can look subtly different—not that Apple made only one band or assigned each unit a serial number.
What Apple announced in the 2025 Pride Collection
The collection combined three products and software elements:
- Pride Edition Sport Band: an Apple Watch band available in 40mm, 42mm, and 46mm case-size families.
- Pride Harmony watch face: an analog face whose rainbow stripes shift and form large hour numerals when you raise your wrist.
- Matching iPhone and iPad wallpaper: released with the related operating-system updates.
Apple announced the collection on May 5, 2025. The band could be ordered at launch, while the Pride Harmony face and matching wallpaper were associated with watchOS 11.5, iOS 18.5, and iPadOS 18.5.
Why Apple called the band unique
Apple says the colored stripes are assembled by hand from individually colored pieces of fluoroelastomer, then compression-molded together. Because the stripe blocks vary in shape and size, their placement changes subtly from one unit to another. Apple describes the result as meaning that “no two bands are exactly alike.”

- Utilising the Sport Loop form, the band features a double-layer nylon weave comprised of soft and breathable textile loops.
- To create the Pride script, some of these textile loops were removed, resulting in a three-dimensional texture you can see and feel.
- On the reverse side, the attachment loops are securely anchored for superior durability.
That claim describes visual variation in a production run. It does not establish that every band is a numbered collectible, artist-signed item, or guaranteed rarity. Product photographs therefore cannot predict the exact pattern you will receive.
The band’s closure is laser-etched with “Designed with pride in California,” according to Apple’s product description.
What the colors represent
Apple says its palette draws on multiple Pride flags. In Apple’s stated explanation, black and brown honor Black and Latin communities and people affected by HIV/AIDS, while light blue, pink, and white represent transgender and nonbinary people. This is Apple’s design explanation rather than an independent interpretation of the symbolism.

Material, closure, price, and fit
The 2025 Pride band uses fluoroelastomer, not a material Apple identifies as silicone, and has the standard pin-and-tuck Sport Band closure. The U.S. launch price was $49.

Choose the length from your wrist measurement, not from the watch generation name. Someone near the overlap between the two ranges should check Apple’s fit guidance and consider which portion of the band they prefer to use.
Apple Watch compatibility: match the case-size family
Apple groups band compatibility by case-size family. The number on the band option is not necessarily the same number printed on an older Apple Watch.

Before ordering, use the compatibility selector on Apple’s 40mm-family product page or the 46mm-family product page. This is particularly important for older watches and Apple Watch Ultra models. A 40mm-family band is not the correct choice for a 44mm-, 45mm-, 46mm-, or 49mm-family case.
How the Pride Harmony face and wallpaper worked
The Pride Harmony face is an analog design. Its rainbow bands dynamically shift and form large hour numerals as the wearer raises the wrist to check the time. Apple associated the face with watchOS 11.5 and said it could be downloaded through the Apple Watch app, Apple Store app, or Apple’s website.

Is the 2025 band limited edition?
Apple marketed the product as a special Pride release, and its product page used “Special Edition.” Available information does not establish a fixed production quantity, a guaranteed end date, or a formal limited-edition scarcity policy. Treat “unique” as a description of pattern variation, not proof that supply is permanently limited.

During an August 16, 2026 availability check, Apple’s U.S. product pages still displayed the 2025 Pride Edition Sport Band at $49. Apple’s March 2026 institutional price list also included 42mm and 46mm Pride Edition Sport Band SKUs at a $49 MSRP. Those listings are price and product signals, not a promise that every size is in stock.
Check the live Apple storefront for your country, case-size family, wrist length, delivery date, and pickup options before buying. A page can remain indexed while a particular configuration is unavailable.

2025 Pride Sport Band versus the 2026 Pride Sport Loop
Apple’s 2026 Pride Collection introduced a different product rather than proving that the 2025 band had been universally replaced.

Apple describes the 2026 release in its 2026 Pride Collection announcement. The Sport Loop is the more relevant alternative if you prefer woven nylon and hook-and-loop adjustment; the 2025 Sport Band suits buyers who want fluoroelastomer and a pin-and-tuck closure.
Who should buy the 2025 Pride Sport Band?
It makes sense for
- Collectors who want a year-specific Apple Pride design.
- Buyers who prefer the conventional Sport Band format and a wipe-clean fluoroelastomer surface.
- Anyone who likes irregular color placement and accepts that the delivered pattern will vary.
- Owners whose case-size family and wrist measurement match Apple’s selector.
Consider another band if
- You prefer the textile feel and adjustability of a Sport Loop.
- You want the newer 2026 Pride design.
- You prefer a less conspicuous or single-color appearance.
- The 2025 configuration you need is unavailable.
Apple’s Sport Band and Sport Loop categories provide standard alternatives. Third-party rainbow bands may cost less or offer different styles, but check connector fit, disclosed materials, return terms, seller identity, and the stated wrist range rather than assuming Apple-equivalent construction.
