In its April 15 closing release, the organizer reported more than 49,000 unique visitors during the week, including 5,700 retailers and 1,500 journalists, across 54 exhibiting watchmaking brands. It also reported more than 10,000 retailer appointments, 1,800 press “Touch & Feel” sessions and 19,000 public tickets, 25% of which went to people under 25. These are figures reported by Watches and Wonders Geneva, not independently audited attendance data. The event’s CEO, Matthieu Humair, said the average age on public days was 35 and described younger-generation interest as encouraging; that is his attributed statement, not an independently verified demographic measure.
