The Christopher Ward x Andrew Morgan Bel Canto The Red One is a limited-run collaboration distinguished by its red dial, clear movement jewels and AMW-marked caseback. Its preorder took place in 2024 and has ended; the launch reports do not establish whether it is currently available new or what it costs on the resale market.
What makes The Red One different?
The Red One pairs the C1 Bel Canto’s chiming complication with design details associated with Andrew Morgan Watches (AMW). Christopher Ward’s official product handbook identifies it as a limited-run collaboration. Launch coverage describes a red dial and clear sapphire jewels instead of the ruby-colored jewels used on the usual design, along with a caseback bearing Morgan’s signature. The handbook specifies an AMW-logo caseback.
Other documented details include a mirror-polished chiming gong, an on/off indicator and rhodium-plated, three-dimensional hand-finished bridges and hammer mechanism. Launch reporting lists white rubber, grey Alcantara and titanium bracelet options; check an individual listing to confirm which strap or bracelet is actually included.
How does the Bel Canto chiming feature work?
The handbook lists a Sellita SW200 movement with Christopher Ward’s FS01 striking mechanism. The mechanism produces the chiming feature, while the floating time display presents the time on the dial. A pusher at 4 o’clock switches the striking function on or off. The stated power reserve is 38 hours. These details describe the mechanism at a high level; the handbook does not provide a more detailed operating or service procedure.
