What is the Rolex “Bruce Wayne”?
“Bruce Wayne” is an informal nickname used in watch media for Rolex reference 126710GRNR, not an official Rolex model name. Rolex identifies it as the GMT-Master II Oyster, 40 mm, in Oystersteel. The name refers to the watch’s restrained grey-and-black bezel, rather than to a distinct edition or special complication. Rolex’s Oyster-bracelet product page and an example of third-party nickname usage show the distinction.
What does the GMT function do?
The GMT-Master II is designed to show a second time zone alongside local time. Its independently adjustable local-hour hand can be moved in one-hour increments without stopping the watch, while the 24-hour hand continues to indicate reference time. The date changes with the local hour setting.
The bidirectional bezel has a 24-hour scale. Rotating it shifts the time zone represented by that scale relative to the 24-hour hand, offering another reading when needed. The hands and bezel do not provide unlimited simultaneous time-zone displays: the watch’s layout is for local time and a reference time, with the bezel allowing an adjusted additional reading. Rolex traces the GMT-Master II’s introduction to 1982, when its movement enabled the hour hand to be set independently. Rolex’s 2024 account of the GMT-Master II describes that change.

Oyster or Jubilee: which bracelet should you choose?
Rolex offers the same reference with either bracelet. The Oyster uses three-piece solid links for a more straightforward, sport-oriented look; the five-piece-link Jubilee has a more intricate appearance. Both are Oystersteel and use an Oysterlock safety clasp with an Easylink 5 mm comfort extension, so the main choice is bracelet style and feel rather than a different movement or set of core functions.
