Google’s Made by Google 2025 event on August 20, 2025 introduced the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4, Pixel Buds 2a, Pixelsnap accessories and a broad expansion of Gemini across Pixel devices. This is a recap of that past launch, not a list of August 2026 prices or later products.
The event’s central idea was proactive computing: Gemini should understand context, surface information and guide actions across phones, watches, earbuds, photos and Google apps rather than waiting for a conventional typed request.

The prices are U.S. launch prices reported for August 2025, not verified August 2026 street prices. The Android Central launch roundup reports the Pixel 10, Pro, Pro XL and Fold pricing and several camera details.

Pixel 10
Pixel 10 is the generation’s mainstream entry point. It combines Google’s Tensor G5 processor with a satin-finish design and a new camera system that includes a 5x telephoto camera according to launch coverage. It receives the new Pixel AI platform, although individual features can vary by model, language and region.
Pixel 10 Pro
The 6.3-inch Pixel 10 Pro is the compact premium choice. Google positioned it around a higher-end display and camera system, Tensor G5 and the Titan M2 security coprocessor. Pro Zoom reaches up to 100x, using computational photography rather than a 100x optical lens. Google also highlighted portrait output of up to 50 megapixels; that is a maximum capability, not a guarantee that every portrait is captured at that resolution.
Finish options are Moonstone, Jade, Porcelain and Obsidian.
Pixel 10 Pro XL
Pixel 10 Pro XL uses the same broad Pro platform as the smaller Pro but adds a 6.8-inch display and a larger battery. It is the choice for buyers who want the biggest screen and longer potential endurance without moving to a foldable.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold
The Pro Fold is a separate form factor, not simply a larger Pro. It has an 8-inch inner Super Actua Flex display, a conventional outer cover display, a gearless hinge, Tensor G5, Qi2 charging and Moonstone or Jade finishes. Its triple rear-camera system includes a 5x telephoto camera according to launch coverage.
Google described IP68 dust and water resistance as a first for a foldable and made durability claims including “twice as durable” and a design intended to last over 10 years of folding. Those are Google’s claims; IP68 does not make a foldable immune to drops, hinge wear, pressure or every type of liquid damage, and independent testing would be needed to verify the marketing language. Foldables can also cost more to repair and add weight and thickness.

Pixel camera features and AI editing
Pro Zoom
Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL offer Pro Zoom up to 100x. Google presents it as computational photography and AI-assisted detail recovery. At extreme magnification it should be understood as a computational result, not equivalent to detail from a 100x optical telephoto lens.
Camera Coach
Camera Coach uses Gemini to analyze the viewfinder and provide step-by-step advice on framing, angle, distance and shooting mode. It is guidance before capture, not an automatic substitute for photographic judgment.

Google Photos can accept natural-language edit requests, such as asking it to improve lighting or framing. Results depend on the image, device, account and rollout status, and generative edits can introduce errors or artifacts. This complements rather than replaces manual controls.
Other computational photography
Google grouped Video Boost, Super Res Zoom and Audio Magic Eraser with its wider AI-assisted image and video strategy. These are software capabilities layered onto camera hardware, not separate cameras announced at the event.
Gemini becomes more proactive
Gemini Live with visual context
With Gemini Live, users can share a camera view and ask questions about what they see. Google also demonstrated more precise interaction by highlighting a part of the screen. Visual and conversational responses still depend on supported accounts, languages, connectivity and rollout.
Magic Cue
Magic Cue uses Gemini-related capabilities to understand what is happening on the phone and surface relevant information. Google demonstrated it finding restaurant reservation details in a dinner-related text, locating a requested photo and surfacing flight information from an email.

Google says Magic Cue processing occurs on-device. That claim applies to the functions Google identifies; “on-device” should not be read as a guarantee that every related service or data path is local in every circumstance.
Future task completion
Google described a future in which Gemini could find a restaurant and book a table for the user. That was a direction and demonstration of planned agentic behavior, not evidence that universal restaurant booking was available at the event’s launch.
Pixel Watch 4 is a substantial redesign
Google’s detailed specifications and prices are in its Pixel Watch 4 announcement.
Display and construction
- 41mm and 45mm case sizes.
- Domed Actua 360 display with a 10% larger active area and 16% smaller bezels.
- Up to 3,000 nits peak brightness and custom Corning Gorilla Glass.
- Aluminum housing and water resistance up to 50 meters.
Battery and charging
- Google rates the 41mm model for up to 30 hours and the 45mm model for up to 40 hours.
- Battery Saver extends those figures to two days for 41mm and three days for 45mm.
- The Quick Charge Dock reaches 50% in 15 minutes.
“Up to” figures vary with always-on display, LTE, GPS, workouts and other settings.

Watch 4 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Wearable Platform, a new machine-learning coprocessor, stronger haptics and an upgraded speaker. Google calls it the first Pixel Watch with a replaceable battery and display, making it serviceable rather than fully sealed for its entire life.
Health and fitness
- Improved sleep-stage tracking and skin-temperature sensing.
- Dual-frequency GPS and real-time cycling metrics streamed to Fitbit.
- More than 50 exercise modes and automatic activity detection.
- Stress management, Cardio Load, Target Load, ECG, Health Metrics Dashboard and Morning Brief.
- Loss-of-pulse detection.
Wearable metrics are wellness information, not automatically medical measurements or a diagnosis.

Standalone satellite emergency communication
The LTE Pixel Watch 4 supports standalone emergency satellite communication. Google says it can connect to emergency services through geostationary satellites. The feature is conditional: geography, carrier or service terms, regulatory approval, an unobstructed view of the sky and suitable outdoor conditions can all affect whether it works. It is not a guarantee of rescue or a replacement for a broader emergency plan.
Gemini on the wrist
Gemini can be invoked with “Raise to Talk,” and Smart Replies are intended to use conversation context. Practical usefulness depends on the microphone, speaker, connectivity, account, language and regional availability.

Preorders opened at the event, with Google listing store availability from October 9, 2025. These are launch prices, not confirmed August 2026 prices. Wi-Fi suits users whose phone is nearby; LTE adds independent connectivity but can require a compatible carrier plan.
Fitbit’s Gemini health coach
Google announced a Gemini-powered personal health coach for Fitbit, designed to turn Pixel Watch and other Fitbit metrics into personalized fitness and sleep guidance. A U.S. preview was planned for October 2025 through a redesigned Fitbit app, with Stephen Curry announced as a performance advisor.

Pixel Buds 2a
Pixel Buds 2a are the lower-priced Pixel earbuds companion. They add active noise cancellation with Silent Seal 1.5, a smaller and lighter design and a twist-to-adjust fit stabilizer. The supplied launch materials do not establish an official price, so no price is stated here.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 software
Google announced Adaptive Audio, Loud Noise Protection, head gestures for answering calls and replying to texts, and Gemini Live in noisy environments. The event described the update as coming the following month; actual availability can depend on the update rollout, phone, language and region.
Live Translate on Pixel 10
Voice Translate can translate what callers say while retaining the sound of their voices. Google says on-device translation can keep conversations private and that calls can involve Pixel and non-Pixel phones. Support is not universal: country, language, phone model, carrier and software version can all matter. Translation should not be assumed to be perfect or instantaneous.
Pixelsnap and Qi2 accessories
Pixel 10 phones support Qi2 wireless charging and Google introduced magnetic Pixelsnap accessories: a charger, charger with stand, Ring Stand, compatible cases and the Pixel Flex 67W dual-port charger.
Launch coverage reported charging up to 25W on Pixel 10 Pro XL and 15W on the other Qi2-ready phones. A magnetic accessory does not guarantee the same charging speed across every phone, case and charger combination.
Availability and what was not established
Google announced Pixel 10 availability in Mexico for the first time. Availability was not necessarily identical for every phone, watch, earbud, accessory or AI feature, and country-by-country model coverage requires checking the relevant regional Google Store.
The event did not establish August 2026 prices, universal rollout of every Gemini capability, a confirmed official Pixel Buds 2a launch price in the supplied materials, or medical status for Fitbit coaching. Promotional offers, trade-in values and financing terms are time-, market- and device-dependent.
Which product fits which buyer?
- Pixel 10: the mainstream choice when entry price and a conventional phone matter most.
- Pixel 10 Pro: the compact premium option for the advanced camera and display package.
- Pixel 10 Pro XL: the larger Pro for screen and battery capacity.
- Pixel 10 Pro Fold: for multitasking and tablet-like space, accepting higher cost, weight, repair complexity and foldable durability trade-offs.
- Pixel Watch 4 Wi-Fi: when the phone is normally close by.
- Pixel Watch 4 LTE: when independent connectivity is useful and the carrier supports it; satellite features remain conditional.
- Pixel Buds 2a: for a lighter, lower-cost entry to the Pixel earbud ecosystem.
- Pixel Buds Pro 2: for premium hardware and the newer Adaptive Audio, protection, gesture and Gemini features.
Readers already committed to Apple services and Apple Watch should note that Pixel Watch is not a cross-platform equivalent. Garmin is a stronger fit for long battery life and endurance sports, while Fitbit trackers offer Fitbit metrics without buying a Pixel Watch.
Bottom line
Made by Google 2025 was much broader than a phone launch. Google introduced four Pixel 10 phones, a redesigned and more serviceable Pixel Watch 4, new earbuds and charging accessories, then used Gemini to connect camera guidance, contextual search, editing, translation, watch interactions and future agentic tasks. The most important buying distinctions remain straightforward: Pixel 10 for mainstream value, Pro for compact premium cameras, Pro XL for size and battery, Fold for a much larger workspace, and Watch 4 LTE only when independent connectivity justifies its extra cost and service requirements.
