The Classic is the more compact, complication-led choice; the GTS offers greater stated water resistance and a larger, more contemporary profile.
Two separate 2025 Mille Miglia watches
These are distinct releases, not two versions of the same watch. The Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Tribute to Sir Stirling Moss is reference 168619-3012, limited to 70 pieces. It marks 70 years since Moss and co-driver Denis Jenkinson won the 1955 Mille Miglia. Chopard says they completed the race in 10 hours, 7 minutes, 48 seconds, at an average speed of 97.96 mph (157.65 km/h). Chopard’s product page gives the tribute and watch specifications.
The Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Race Edition, reference 168638-3001, is limited to 250 pieces. Chopard’s 2025 Mille Miglia catalogue describes the release as marking a decade since the GTS range was introduced; GTS stands for “Grand Turismo Sport.”

How the watches differ in size and wear profile
Classic: smaller on paper, with a listed-size discrepancy
Chopard calls the Classic case 40.5mm in descriptive copy but lists it as 41mm in the specifications. It is 12.88mm thick. That makes it nominally smaller across than the GTS, though the Classic is thicker. Measurements alone cannot establish how either case will sit on a particular wrist.
GTS: wider and slimmer
The GTS measures 43mm across and 11.43mm thick. It is 2mm wider than the Classic’s 41mm table measurement, but 1.45mm thinner. Its larger diameter and bezel give it a more assertive visual presence; wrist fit still depends on more than those numbers.

Chronograph versus power-reserve display
Classic: elapsed-time timing
The Classic is the choice for a chronograph: its dial includes 30-minute and 12-hour counters alongside a date. Chopard specifies an automatic, COSC-certified chronograph movement with a 54-hour power reserve. Its silver-toned opaline dial keeps the counters central to the look.
GTS: remaining reserve at a glance
The GTS trades the chronograph for a power-reserve indicator styled like a fuel gauge, plus date and small seconds. It uses Chopard’s 01.02-M automatic COSC chronometer, with approximately 60 hours of reserve. Chopard’s catalogue says the salmon-coloured, circular satin-finish dial evokes hand-crafted aluminium bodywork and painted metal dashboards.

Design and motorsport references
The Classic pairs its silver-toned opaline dial with chronograph counters and a brown rally-style strap. Its tribute is specific: the Moss–Jenkinson 1955 Mille Miglia win. The GTS takes a different visual direction, combining its salmon-coloured dial with a black bezel insert and black perforated calfskin strap; the perforations recall racing tyres. Chopard’s catalogue connects the GTS design to the range’s Grand Turismo Sport identity.
Water resistance and movement credentials
Chopard rates the Classic to 50m and the GTS to 100m. Both movements are stated by Chopard to be COSC-certified; the Classic is an automatic chronograph, while the GTS uses the 01.02-M automatic calibre. The reserve figures are not identical: Chopard gives 54 hours for the Classic and approximately 60 hours for the GTS. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.

These figures describe reported launch pricing in those currencies, not a single current worldwide price. That regional listing is date-specific and does not establish current stock or pricing elsewhere. Check Chopard or an authorized retailer in your market for current availability.

Which 2025 Chopard Mille Miglia is the better fit?
- Choose the Classic tribute if you want the more compact nominal diameter, a traditional chronograph, and a limited edition tied directly to Moss and Jenkinson’s 1955 win. Its edition is smaller at 70 pieces.
- Choose the GTS Power Control if you prefer a wider, slimmer case, a power-reserve indicator over a chronograph, and the salmon-and-black design. It has the higher stated water-resistance rating and a 250-piece edition.
- Try before deciding if fit is decisive. The measurements clarify relative dimensions but do not establish comfort or appearance on a specific wrist.
