It pairs a 43.5 mm steel case and rubber strap with an automatic Powermatic 80.611 movement, and Certina rates it to 1,000 metres. Its conservation connection is real but not quantified: Certina says a portion of sales proceeds goes directly to Sea Turtle Conservancy, without specifying an amount.
What is the DS SUPER PH1000M STC edition?
The reference number is C024.907.17.041.10. It is the blue-dial Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC) special edition, with a 316L stainless-steel case and bezel, black rubber strap, and orange dial accents. Certina announced it on 26 June 2024 and said it would reach authorized retailers worldwide from July 2024; that was the launch schedule, not confirmation of current stock. Certina’s launch announcement identifies the edition and its original rollout.
Do not confuse it with the black-dial standard DS SUPER PH1000M, reference C024.907.18.051.00. The STC watch’s price and configuration should be checked against its own reference, not inferred from the standard model.
How large is it, and what does it wear like?
Certina’s official watch sheet lists a 43.5 mm case width, 14.15 mm thickness, and 20 mm lug width. The case is substantial, and width alone does not determine how it will sit on a wrist: thickness and lug-to-lug length matter too. The available sheet does not state a lug-to-lug measurement, so try it on if fit is a deciding factor.

The watch comes on a black rubber strap with quick release and a 316L stainless-steel buckle. Its 20 mm lug width may help when looking for another strap, but width alone does not guarantee that a replacement’s end fit or hardware will suit the case.

These specifications are from Certina’s official watch sheet. The movement’s stated 80-hour reserve is a specification, not a promise of identical real-world running time under every condition.

How deep can the Certina PH1000M go?
Certina states water resistance of 100 bar (1,000 metres) for the STC edition. The launch announcement also describes a unidirectional turning bezel with a security system. These are the maker’s specifications; they are not an independent test result. Certina’s announcement provides the rating and bezel description.
For a meaningful comparison with another diver, compare more than the depth rating: case width and thickness, lug-to-lug measurement where available, movement and reserve, bezel and safety features, strap configuration, local price, and warranty all affect the practical choice.

What does STC have to do with the watch?
Certina says it has worked with Sea Turtle Conservancy since 2017. Its announcement says: “As was the case with these earlier editions, a portion of the proceeds from sales goes directly to the STC.” The brand does not state a percentage or amount, so the contribution should not be treated as a defined share of the purchase price.
The launch story links the design to the blue of the STC logo, while Certina describes the model as drawing on its 1970 DS SUPER PH1000M. The company also places the watch in the longer history of its DS concept, introduced in 1959, and the turtle symbol associated with the brand. These historical and partnership details are Certina’s account in its launch announcement.

Certina’s announcement describes threats to sea turtles including rising sea levels and water temperatures, plastic waste, beachfront construction, and disorienting lighting. It gives no dated population or impact figures, so no specific conservation outcome can be assigned to the watch here.

Price depends on market and date. The official Certina Belgium page was observed listing the watch at €1,040 in 2026; that is a regional listing, not a guaranteed transaction price or universal MSRP. Certina’s 2025 STC contest terms cite a CHF 845 recommended retail price, a dated Swiss-market reference. These figures refer to different markets and dates and should not be treated as a direct like-for-like comparison.
