The Formex Essence Ceramica Skeleton COSC is a 41 mm ceramic automatic watch with an openworked dial and a Swiss-made, skeletonized Sellita SW200-1 SC movement that Formex says is COSC-certified. The Stradale model’s stated power reserve is 41 hours; its official specifications also list 100 m water resistance and a ceramic bracelet.
What is the Formex Essence Ceramica Skeleton COSC?
It is the skeleton-dial version of Formex’s Essence Ceramica COSC watch family. The Stradale variant pairs a zirconium-oxide ceramic case and bezel with a Cadranor-made openworked dial, colored Super-LumiNova accents and a ceramic bracelet. The front and back are sapphire crystal, with internal anti-reflective treatment specified for the crystals.

What movement does it use?
Formex specifies a Swiss-made, self-winding SW200-1 SC movement, skeletonized for the openworked display. Its listed specifications are 26 jewels, a Glucydur balance wheel, a custom-built skeleton rotor and a 41-hour power reserve. This is the Skeleton COSC specification, not the movement used in the similarly named non-skeleton model.

Is the Skeleton COSC certified?
Formex says every movement in the Skeleton COSC is COSC-certified. The company says certified chronometers undergo a 15-day rate test and that each has an identifying number engraved on the movement and a COSC-issued certificate number. The model-level statement does not verify the certificate number of any particular watch; buyers seeking to confirm an individual example should check its paperwork and engraved number.

Formex says the bracelet uses removable pin-and-tube links and a ceramic clasp with four 1.25 mm adjustment increments, adding up to more than 5 mm of adjustment. All dimensions and construction details above are the manufacturer’s published specifications.

How it differs from the non-skeleton Essence Ceramica Automatic COSC
The two watches share the Ceramica family and 41 mm case size, but their dial layouts and movements are different. Do not apply the Skeleton COSC’s specifications to the non-skeleton model or vice versa.
