The Casio G-Shock GA-B2100CD-1A4 is the red-and-black, marine-iguana-inspired model in G-Shock’s two-watch collaboration with the Charles Darwin Foundation. Its Galápagos-themed dial and strap details sit alongside the familiar 2100-series construction, Tough Solar charging, Bluetooth smartphone link and 200-metre water resistance. Casio’s Singapore announcement set a local availability date of 3 January 2025; it is not a worldwide release date.
What makes the GA-B2100CD-1A4 distinctive?
Casio ties the 1A4’s two-tone red-and-black color scheme to the Galápagos marine iguana. The design uses several smaller references to the islands and their surrounding waters:

These are design details rather than functional differences. Casio’s descriptions do not identify a performance advantage for this model over its companion.
How does it compare with the companion model?
The collaboration consists of two GA-B2100 models. Their stated distinction is the animal inspiration and associated colorway and motifs.

Casio’s collaboration materials also list double LED illumination and smartphone linking. These are manufacturer specifications and feature descriptions, not results of independent testing.
What do the collaboration markings mean?
The case back is engraved with the Charles Darwin Foundation logo. The band carries the Spanish phrase “Apoyo la conservación de Galápagos,” translated by Casio as “I support Galápagos conservation.” Casio also describes the watches’ packaging as plastic-free.

Those details communicate the collaboration’s conservation theme, but the official pages do not state that a watch purchase donates money to the Foundation or otherwise provides it with a share of sales. Casio describes the Foundation as an organization engaged in conservation activities in the Galápagos and says it operates the Charles Darwin Research Station.
