His first collection arrived in 2017; later milestones include a three-dimensional moon-phase watch and the FP Architektur One movement.
From Berlin to Glashütte
Pikullik’s official biography says he was born in Berlin in 1994 and began taking watches apart and putting them back together at thirteen. It dates the start of his formal watchmaking training in Glashütte to 2013. The maker’s biography also describes his development with Kudoke, where he learned skeletonization, and under master watchmaker Rolf Lang.
Phillips’ July 2024 profile adds detail to that path: it says Pikullik attended watchmaking school at eighteen, apprenticed with Stefan Kudoke, then worked under Lang in Dresden, where he learned prototyping and part-making. The first collection: skeletonized watches
Prius, 2017
Pikullik’s official biography dates the launch of his independent brand to 2017, with the five-piece Prius Collection. Phillips likewise describes the Prius as a 2017 release of five limited-edition skeletonized models and reports that the early watches used modified ébauche calibers. The collection established skeletonization as a defining part of his work: removing material to reveal the mechanism while retaining structure and balance.

ZBM1 and Sternenhimmel
The maker dates the hand-engraved ZBM1 to 2020 and Sternenhimmel, or “starry sky,” to 2021. The latter carries the astronomy motif into the dial: Phillips describes it as having an aventurine dial and a modified ETA 6498 movement. Those movement details are Phillips’ reporting; the official biography frames the watch as inspired by the night sky.
Moon phases and a more exposed mechanism
Mondphase I, 2023
The official biography dates Mondphase I to 2023 and describes its moon phase as a three-dimensional display. It says the watch was nominated for the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG); nomination should not be confused with winning an award. Phillips reports that Mondphase I exposes part of its gear train while concealing the balance, and that Pikullik built the gear train from scratch. The result brings together the open-worked approach of the early watches and the astronomical subject matter of Sternenhimmel.

Mondphase II, 2025
Pikullik’s official account dates Mondphase II to 2025. It says the movement was rethought and built from the dial side upward so that its mechanics would be visible from the front. The brand’s homepage describes most of the watch’s components as manufactured in-house. These are the maker’s descriptions of its own construction, not evidence that every component is made in the atelier.
FP Architektur One and the push toward in-house construction
The brand presents FP Architektur One (FPA1) as a step toward a fully in-house movement, saying it was built almost entirely from the ground up. In its 2026 biography, the maker says FPA1 was developed largely within the atelier and includes a hand-crafted balance wheel. These claims describe a direction and a substantial increase in in-house work—not a claim that the brand has already achieved complete independence from outside suppliers.

In the official biography, Pikullik sums up that approach: “It is a deliberate choice to begin with the most challenging elements, because mastering complexity creates the foundation for true independence.” The brand also uses the line, “We do not measure progress in collections, but in independence.” That is brand copy rather than an independently reported quotation.
What distinguishes Pikullik’s work
- Open-worked design: Skeletonization is central to the early Prius watches and remains part of the brand’s account of its craft.
- Astronomical imagery: Sternenhimmel takes inspiration from the night sky, while Mondphase I and II develop the moon-phase theme.
- Increasing movement integration: Phillips reports scratch-built elements in Mondphase I, while the maker describes Mondphase II and FPA1 as steps toward greater in-house construction.
- A developing, not finished, story: The brand’s own language emphasizes greater independence as an ongoing goal. It would be inaccurate to treat every movement component as already made in-house.
