The wearer selects the applicable seasonal period, then reads a city against the central 24-hour display. It is a more focused proposition than the Récital 28, leaving out that watch’s tourbillon and perpetual calendar in favor of a more compact, travel-oriented design.
How the Récital 30 displays world time
BOVET describes 26 rollers in total: 24 identify cities, one selects a time period, and one indicates world time. The center 24-hour display tracks the city rollers, while the central hands show local time and are adjusted at the crown. A day/night indicator helps distinguish the display’s light and dark hours.
To read another location, find its city roller and compare it with the central 24-hour display. New Delhi is handled separately because its time is offset by 30 minutes from a standard time zone: the review describes it between the Maldives and Dhaka, with an additional minute indicator representing the half-hour difference.
Daylight saving time requires a manual choice
The Récital 30 does not automatically detect daylight-saving changes. Its top pusher moves among four wearer-selected time periods: UTC, AST (American Summer Time), EAS (European and American Summer Time), and EWT (European Winter Time). The bottom pusher advances the central 24-hour world-time display by one hour per press.

- Select the seasonal period: use the top pusher to choose the period matching the locations’ applicable time rules.
- Advance world time as needed: use the bottom pusher to move the central 24-hour display in one-hour increments.
- Read the destination: compare the relevant city roller with the 24-hour display, accounting for New Delhi’s separate half-hour indication when applicable.
BOVET says the arrangement is intended to keep the 24 standard time zones and New Delhi’s 30-minute offset accurate throughout the year. Its usefulness depends on the wearer selecting the correct period; the watch does not infer a city’s seasonal change by itself.
Two display versions suit different home-time needs
The hands-on review describes two time-display versions. Their key difference is what the central hands prioritize and what the additional minute hand indicates.

Case, movement and configuration
BOVET’s listed Grade 5 titanium case measures 42 mm across and 12.9 mm thick. The official product page also shows variations in 18K red gold and ceramic. The automatic movement has a manufacturer-listed 62-hour power reserve; the review identifies it as calibre R30-70-001, with 373 components and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz).

BOVET says the dial is offered in a range of colors and that customization can include city names, the 24-hour dial and the minute track. These are manufacturer-stated possibilities, not a guarantee that every combination can currently be ordered.
Is it practical for travel?
The design is travel-oriented in a specific way: it makes world time the central feature and provides a manual system for selecting seasonal time rules. Compared with the Récital 28, the Récital 30 is described in the hands-on review as more compact and practical for travel, in part because it omits the tourbillon and perpetual-calendar complications. That is a comparative design assessment, not an independent wearability test.

BOVET owner Pascal Raffy describes the goal as “a wearable, very intuitive timepiece to guide them and remind them where they are from and where they are going.” Whether the display feels intuitive will depend on a wearer’s comfort with its rollers and pusher-selected periods; it is not a conventional city-ring world timer.
