The 39 mm TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x fragment Limited Edition pairs a high-contrast black-and-white Glassbox-style dial with subtle fragment signatures and a vintage-inspired beads-of-rice bracelet. Reference CBS221B.BA0045 is limited to 500 pieces and runs TAG Heuer’s automatic TH20-00 movement, with an 80-hour power reserve and 100 m water resistance. The design and measurements below draw on TAG Heuer’s specifications and an independent hands-on review; they are not a first-person wear test.
What makes this Carrera a fragment edition?
This is the third collaboration between TAG Heuer and Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara, founder of the fragment brand. Rather than replacing the Carrera’s familiar chronograph layout with a radically different one, the edition makes its mark through contrast and small, deliberate details.
The dial is black opalin, set against a curved white flange and silver markers. The fragment lightning-bolt mark appears on the custom date disc at the positions for 1 and 11. The result keeps the face recognizably Carrera while adding a graphic signature that is easy to miss at a glance.
Dial, case and bracelet details
A high-contrast Glassbox-style face
TAG Heuer describes the watch as a reworking of the Carrera Chronograph’s Glassbox design. Monochrome’s hands-on review describes a highly domed sapphire crystal, a tachymeter flange and three recessed sub-dials. The white flange frames the black dial, while the contrasting surfaces distinguish the chronograph registers without changing the basic three-counter arrangement.

Collaboration details beyond the dial
The sapphire-and-steel caseback is engraved with a Victory Wreath. TAG Heuer also identifies collaboration details on the sapphire crystal and rotor. These touches extend the edition’s identity to components that are less prominent during ordinary viewing.
Beads-of-rice bracelet
The steel bracelet has a seven-row beads-of-rice construction, with black PVD-coated center links. Its more articulated, vintage-leaning appearance contrasts with the Carrera’s polished and fine-brushed steel case. No comparative comfort or long-term durability testing is established, so the bracelet’s visual character should not be mistaken for a claim about how it wears.

The 39 mm diameter is the official case measurement; the additional 13.9 mm thickness and 46 mm lug-to-lug span come from Monochrome’s independent review. Those extra dimensions help give a fuller sense of the case’s proportions, but they should not be confused with figures published in TAG Heuer’s cited US specification listing.
How to read the movement and chronograph specification
The TH20-00 is an automatic in-house movement, and TAG Heuer specifies an 80-hour power reserve. The chronograph is configured for quarter-second readings, a 30-minute totalizer and a 12-hour totalizer. The available specifications establish the movement’s stated architecture and functions, not independent timing-accuracy results; no accuracy test is reported here.

The 100 m water-resistance rating is the manufacturer’s stated specification. It is a rating, not evidence here of independent water testing or a guarantee that a particular watch remains water-resistant regardless of age or condition.
Price and availability depend on market and date
At the time its US product page was accessed in 2026, TAG Heuer listed the watch at $9,050 and marked it “Out of stock online”; the page also offered a store-availability check. That is a US-page snapshot, not a universal price or proof that the model cannot be found through a boutique or elsewhere.

For launch context, Monochrome listed EUR 9,000 and CHF 8,150, while OnTheDash reported 500 pieces and availability in December 2025. These are market- and date-specific launch figures, not current quotes for every region. None of these prices establishes resale value.

Its clearest appeal is to someone who wants a Carrera chronograph with a strong monochrome dial and a bracelet that leans vintage, but still values restrained collaboration branding. The lightning-bolt date markers and black bracelet links provide the edition’s most distinctive cues; the main dial layout remains close to the established Carrera chronograph format.

For a comparison with another 39 mm Carrera Chronograph, the useful points are not diameter alone: consider thickness and lug-to-lug span, dial contrast and legibility, bracelet construction, movement and reserve, water resistance, edition size, and the price and availability in your market.
