These three Apple Watch face items are configured in different places: set Weather’s default city in the Apple Watch app on iPhone, choose Stocks data and metric in Stocks settings, and add then select a city for a World Clock complication. Then edit a face that offers the complication slots you want.
Set the default city for Weather
- On the paired iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
- Tap Weather, then Default City.
- Choose the city whose conditions you want displayed.
Apple says weather complications show the default location’s conditions. If the city is missing, add it in the Weather app on Apple Watch or to the synced location list on iPhone. See Apple’s Weather guide.
Choose which stock information appears
Stocks involves two separate choices: which stock is shown and which metric the complication displays. The Stocks app on Apple Watch reflects stocks followed on iPhone; Apple also says you can add, remove, or reorder stocks on the watch.
Set the complication metric
On iPhone, open Apple Watch app > My Watch > Stocks, then choose a metric. Apple also documents the on-watch path Settings > Stocks > Data Metric. The documented choices are Price Change, Percentage Change, and Market Cap.

Select the stock or view
The stock or view shown depends on the Stocks item selected for the complication. Apple lists options including Added Stocks and Last Viewed Stocks; choosing a metric does not itself determine which stock appears. See Apple’s Stocks guide.
Add and select a World Clock city
- Open the World Clock app on Apple Watch and add a city, or add it on iPhone; cities added on iPhone also appear on the watch.
- Edit a World Clock complication on your face and select the city you want it to show.
Adding a city to World Clock does not automatically make it the city shown on a face. Unlike Weather’s Default City setting, World Clock uses the city selected for the particular complication. See Apple’s World Clock guide.

Add the complications to a watch face
- With the face visible, touch and hold the display, then tap Edit.
- Swipe to the complication screen, tap the slot you want to change, and turn the Digital Crown to browse its available options.
- Choose the complication and press the Digital Crown to save.
Apple lists Weather options such as Air Quality, Conditions, Humidity, Rain, Temperature, UV Index, and Wind; Stocks options including Added Stocks and Last Viewed Stocks; and World Clock options including Sunrise/Sunset and Added Locations. The available complications depend on the face and slot, so inspect the choices on your own watch rather than assuming a particular face can show all three at once.
